An interesting article that lays out what we can expect to hear from talking heads on both sides in the coming weeks:

The one fact that seems to get lost in all of this hubbub is the fact that Wilson was, in fact, right in his assertions. That just makes the politically-motivating outing of his wife all the more shameful. It wasn't done in the name of advancing the truth -- it was done to advance a lie that was put in place to advance someone's political agenda.
I'm just hoping that this investigation will be the equivalent of the Enron deal where people finally realize that certain kinds of behavior are simply not tolerable, and that "business as usual" in D.C. ceases to be such. A little bit of ethics at the highest levels of government in both parties would be a refreshing change.

This was the quote that I found most interesting:
"On Sunday, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, speaking on NBC's "Meet the Press," compared the leak investigation with the case of Martha Stewart, "where they couldn't find a crime and they indict on something that she said about something that wasn't a crime." "
Here's my question: is the Martha Stewart case really the best comparison? It seems to me like Sen. Hutchison's comment could be linked more directly to the Clinton impeachment; I wonder why she didn't make that comparison.

I work as an attorney so that I can afford good scotch, which helps me to forget that I work as an attorney.

DiGenova tells this columnist, “It seems to me somewhat strange, in terms of CIA tradecraft, that if you were really attempting to protect the identity of a covert officer, why would you send her husband overseas on a mission, without a confidentiality agreement, and then allow him when he came back to the United States to write an op-ed piece in the New York Times about it.”

**edit** more interesting exerts from that article
In this regard, Miller’s account of her testimony to the grand jury disclosed that Fitzgerald had asked whether Libby had complained about nepotism behind the Wilson trip, a reference to the role played by Plame. This is the line of inquiry that could lead, if Fitzgerald pursues it, to unraveling the CIA “covert operation” behind the Wilson affair. There may be rogue elements at the agency who are conducting their own foreign policy, in contravention of the official foreign policy of the U.S. Government elected by the American people. Like it or not, Bush is the President and he is supposed to run the CIA, not the other way around
