The whole concept of internet trolls (and their presumably strange motivations for attacking people the way they do) is probably something we've all thought a bit about. This podcast from This American Life has a really interesting segment about a woman who ends up talking to (and becoming friendly with) her troll after he confesses to some pretty horrible things.
