In the Great Falls Tribune article posted on the front page of this website Kramer hinted at making some changes. Anybody care to guess what those changes might be?
"My concern is about the passing game," said Kramer. "Because if we can't pass, we have to start manufacturing (the running game) out of some other different personnel groups."
Will we see Bolton move back to guard and DeCock to starting tackle? Perhaps we get to see Kellen Alley more? Will Eddie Sullivan replace Gatewood at the wideout? Morris Milton to replace Domineck at tailback?
Who knows? Maybe Kramer will come out with a wishbone offense at CSU? Wouldn't that be hilarious!
What changes?

For one, I think moving Bolton back to guard and putting DeCock at RT would be a good move. I must say that I was one who applauded this move of Bolton to RT when it happened, but Fig just isnt cutting it. This puts Bolton back where he is best, and gets DeCock baptism by fire. At least we'd have somebody to run behind now, even if Lulay's pass protection becomes a little more suspect.
Other personel changes.....maybe Kramer is going to make Bailey accountable for his play calling?

*Without knowing anything for sure, I will preface this post by stating that this is pure speculation on my part (and probably on most other people's too).*
As far as the play-calling goes, I would assume that it is Bailey making those calls from the box. Kramer learned a hard lesson his first year that he wasn't cut out to make those calls from the sideline, which is the whole reasoning behind going out and getting Bailey in the first place. I would further surmise that Kramer and Bailey work together during the course of the week to set up a game plan, and talk to each other a lot during the course of the game to try and figure out what the defense is doing so they can exploit it. I wonder if Kwiatkowski has any input on what the other team's defense is doing??? If not, that might help (not sure if he would have time, though - he probably has enough to worry about). I think that the actual play calls are made by Bailey, probably with some general input from Kramer ("maybe we should run here, etc.). Kramer makes the decision on 4th down to go for it or punt or kick a FG.
It would be interesting to find out what this situation is. I admit, up until now, I just assumed without thinking too much about it that Bailey was making all the calls for the O. Maybe he isn't? If not, I would agree that Kramer should probably leave him alone and let him call the game. If Bailey is indeed making all the calls, then he should have been fired two years ago.

I will finish watching game tape from the Cal Poly game this evening, and I will post my review good-and-bad (yes, there actually is some good) later tonight. However, I do want to say that I thought Bailey called a much better game this week, albeit with a few very questionable calls. The players just didn't execute most of the time. I still think that his best-called games have been when we played up (Wyoming, Washington State, and UAB). Instead of worrying about getting big plays or stubbornly trying to run it up the middle, we focused a lot more on controlling the ball and letting the QB make quick throws 5-10 yards down the field on quick slants and outs. You give your QB a great chance to succeed by giving him low-risk throws on fairly easy reads, and with a few completions your QB's confidence goes through the roof. We also ran the ball more to the outside in those games instead of trying in vain to prove we are tougher than the other team by continually running it up the gut. If we can control the ball in a like manner this week, I actually think we have a fairly decent shot at pulling an upset. Colorado State is not a very good team this year, they are pissed but also beaten-up. They will probably be over-confident this week, which is a dangerous mindset to have. If we can get ahead early, that might cause them to question themselves and get down, in addition to taking a doubting fan base out of the game. Which could make it a very interesting game...
