We have a very nice older Lg Blu-Ray that will stream VuDu, CinemaNow and YouTube.....
We are in the process of upgrading/adding a device. Next March our Dish contract is up and we will be DONE. Like Dish but to get the few channels we watch it is costing about $85.00 a month. We are looking at a reasonably priced "device" where can do AmazonPrime, NetFlix, ETC... Maybe even get into a Pandora, ETC... What would be great is a unit that would let me stream the CAT games that are non-Dish televised, internet access... I am guessing any of the formats like Hulu are extra. We do like maybe 3-4 network shows. Hate to lose FoxBusiness, SFGiants games (I can listen to those on MLB for $19.99 per year), our local Sacramento news...
I guess since our present Blu-Ray is still pretty good it would be silly to replace it unless a new one would have lots of options?
I have seen the Roku type units advertised???
Advice, recommendations. Thanks guys

If you have an iPhone or iPad then I recommend an Apple TV. The user friendly features are very intuitive and if you have the iPhone in your hand most of the time, it's just easier than having a secondary control devise.

I've tried roku's they work great. I have an Apple tv, works great, does not get everything. Chrome cast I don't care for. I have an Amazon Fire stick, it works great. Of all of them the Fire stick is my favorite, the Chromecast the least.

Firestick looks like it has a few good channels. I looked at the picture on the site. What are the programming costs?

Get a chromecast or a nexus player.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

You buy the device. You can subscribe to Netflix. I have Amazon prime, which comes with their streaming. If you want to invest in some equipment, then you can use play now and playlater. But for just streaming, you would be very happy with a roku. I don't use netflix, so I primarily use the Amazon content.RickRund wrote:Firestick looks like it has a few good channels.
