It's not illegal to own light bulbs but if there is a hole in it with burn marks and residue, it becomes parphernalia, which is usually only used for a plea agreement (it gets dropped if they plead guilty) because residue of Meth of Crack cocaine is a felony.

Of course this isn't always the case but there has to be proof the paraphernailia was used for drugs. IF there wasn't residue Mr. Irvin would not have been charge.
Thank you for that clarification. Articles don't always include the details that there is residue involved. Knowing that, I feel a lot better about the way those laws work.

I guess I can quit sneaking all of my light bulbs out to the dumpster now. :)

Speaking of paraphernalia did anyone else hear of a bunch on Hemp stores int he state getting busted for selling paraphernalia?

I heard that plain clothed agents went in and bought pipes and bongs then asked the clerks how to use them. SOmehow the clerk showed them and used the correct words (whatever they were, the $hi+, pot, drugs,???) and they got bused.

Entrapment ain't what it used to be.

I'll try to get the whole story, and it may just be a rumor, but was wondering if anyone else heard this.

Perhaps the ACLU will defend the clerks?

That sounds like a situation right out of the Kevin Smith version of Clerks.

Funny you should say that...I noticed a little girl yesterday with one of those "message" belts, i.e. it has a buckle with a programmable scrolling message board..on that message board?? "4:20"
