Shall we ? What is your New Year's Resolutions?

I know one will be wake up smiling, yeah lame but good to do. as for the others, well, haven't figured that out just yet.

Drink the same amount of alcohol, only don't do it at stupid times (final in the morning).
Get a job.
Wake up in the AM for a change.
Go to culinary school. Not joking.
Grow taller.

well, just cleared this with Brad, so i shouldn't get booted for this comment, after all it is honest, and some even deem mandatory

that's why I cleared it first, didn't want to give you guys a heart attack, that coming from a woman and all. oh and next time your spouse leaves for up to 1 year, tell me if you start feeling that's necessary to have in your life.

after all haven't you seen the "baby boom" from couples who's spouses have suddenly returned from duty overseas?

Anybody who doesn't have this on their resolution list (whether written down for all to see or not) is either lying, frigid, or already very, very forunate.

Celt, just curious -- are you looking at culinary school as a possible second career, or do you just want to learn to cook well for your own purposes? I've actually considered it myself, although I've got a little too much going on in my life right now to realistically do it anytime soon. (And since I asked you the question -- I've considered it just because I would like to know how to cook, not as a career.)

Anyway, in keeping with the spirit of the thread:

1. Be a little more diligent about working out;
2. Travel somewhere overseas (I've never been);
3. Get back into the habit of doing some volunteer work at least twice a month; and
4. Continue leading the fight against the inappropriate use of quotation "marks."

I've always loved cooking, and I'm not returning to MSU next semester. I'm a crossroads... don't know if I wana finish at MSU or start a new career. If I do go to culinary school, it will be a good one - it wouldn't just be a hobby.

Well, good luck with whatever you decide. I know what you mean about being at a crossroads -- I've passed a few of those myself over the years (and actually, I think I may be approaching another one soon too, but that's another story for another time).

I've also had a few friends over the years that have gone to school and become chefs, and as far as I know they all love it.

I too am at a crossroad and in the process of a life transition. Will be moving to Europe for the next season of time.

My resolution is:
*** to live with " a bigger heart"...
*** to walk with a "longer stride"...
*** to open up with " a larger embrace"... and to pray more.

I hope you weren't joking. I have sat with many married couples who let the "nookie" fires wane and it is usually a symptom of a relationship that is not going in a healthy direction.

So, GOOD GIRL-- go for it. Fan the fires and "put another log on the fire".

well as of Jan 8, 2006 he wont even be in the country, does pre-deployment in Germany for 3-6 months backfilling a Col. spot, than off to Iraq, so when he becomes available to me, i'll "go for it"

until that point i'll think of cute cowboys in wranglers

unless the guys keep getting graphic over brokeback mountain, than I'll have nothing to keep me happy

My resolutions are to:

1. Get about 1,000 work projects done so I can think about other things for awhile.

2. Finally submit my novel and/or other writing to potential agents/publishers.

3. Start writing again.

4. Get in better shape/lose weight.

5. Spend more time with friends.

6. Improve my golf game/quit embarrassing myself on the course.

7. Buy and use a bike again.

8. Start learning another language again (about ten false starts so far)

9. Travel more for pleasure (when I finally have vacation time saved up)

10. And, of course, get more nookie.

1. Decide what I want to be when I grow up. Or maybe that's when my kids grow up.

2. Not kill said kids for another full year.

3. Step out of my comfort zone and sell some more books.
