El Gato - If I had to "fudge" one direction or the other, I'd say 9-2 with a 3-1 OOC record. I really don't expect ANY team to run the table in the Big Sky this year.

GavinDonos - I picked 9-2 simply because I agree with Gato that it will be hard to run the Sky. But, if I had to fudge one way or another I would optimistically pick 10-1... Not saying we're gonna beat OK State, but I think we could put togeather a late season power suge and, infact, run the conference.

CelticCat - but I picked 8-3 because I think 3-1 going into conference is very possible. I see us losing 2 conference games, but there is a possibility we may only lose one. I just "hope" that we don't start slow like we do every season, and if we don't, I think 3-1 is very realistic.

FlatheadLakeCat - 10-1 with one close game in Cheney. We will roll. There is not a team in I-AA that can stop this offense.

Cat Pride - I voted 9-2 with my heart, 8-3 is more reality.

Canyoncat - Gotta go with 9-2. We'll go 3-1 to start. I am just not sure about EWU, because it is in their house I'll predict a tight loss and we go 9-2 and get a couple of home playoff games.

Orsalak - I have to say 9-2 with loses to OSU and PSU.

Cat Grad - Nobody touches us this year— Just two days away from the first game; must concur with Cat Pride. At least 9-2.

MM7CAT - The only two teams that scare me this year are OK State and EWU. I'm thinking 9-2. See ya in Chattanooga!
I pulled this off just one topic. MOST cat fans were expecting an 9-2 or better record.
9 posters is "most"? Interesting observation.......
I realize this is a difficult concept for msu grads. I'm typing slowly now so follow along.... On the one thread I quoted, MOST cat fans were expecting a 9-2 or better record. Get it - just this one thread. Not all threads, not all cat fans just the one.

THREAD is the proper spelling, not tread.

eastcoast,

It figures you'd spend all that time picking out our pre-season picks/expectations WHEN IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MY POINT THAT YOU ARE TRYING SO DESPERATELY (and unsuccessfully) TO DISPROVE.

Yes, we had very high expectations for the 2005 Bobcats and no, they did not live up to them. Please point out to me where any Cat fan has labelled this as a rebuilding year?

THAT'S THE POINT. I'm not going to go over to egriz and waste all the time you did, but you go right ahead and look at all the griz fans preseason picks and you'll see MOST griz fans picked the griz to go 8-3 or better, and make another run in the playoffs. Given that, there's simply no way you can now EXCUSE the Griz pathetic performances in their final 2 games as a rebuilding year. You guys were BRAGGING a year ago about making the NC game with a "young team"; sorry, but you can't be a "young team" 2 years in a row.

It's no longer surprising to me that you miss the mark by so much...

You take lessons from Bill Clinton?

IN vs INTO.

Big difference and again, you miss the point.

What else is new?

I love how he conveniently picks what "most" means. How about this...."most" of the time he's an idiot.......

You were saying what about an MSU education?

Your spelling is atrocious.

What exactly is the "point" in question, Gato? Is it that because us Griz fans picked our team to do well this year, it can't be a "rebuilding" year? Not true. You see, even in our rebuilding years, we believe we have a better team than 80-90% of the rest of IAA. That's just the kind of arrogant SOB's us Griz fans are.

And, just as you mentioned
El_Gato wrote:go right ahead and look at all the griz fans preseason picks and you'll see MOST griz fans picked the griz to go 8-3 or better
it appears we are quite accurate in assessing our team.

??? Is that what's important here? Spelling is not my forte. I normally jump in and out of this site while at work and am not too concerned with the spelling, but if it means something to cat fans, I’ll work on it.

Yeah,

and the way their offense was humming along on November 19, it would have only taken them about a month and a half to score the 10 points they lost by...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but after the game on the 19th I could have sworn I saw the Griz offense go back onto the field. It only took them four more plays to score a touchdown

It was actually 5 plays- they had an incomplete shovel pass.
