HB nails this one - EWU looked great against Gonzaga. They played well enough to win and, IMO, the only reason they lost was their insistence of posting up with their freshman swingman (can't remember his name right now) instead of letting him do it off the dribble.

Stuckey is playing lights out this year. He will be in the hunt for BSC player of the yearwbtfg wrote:Stuckey (from what I hear) is an amazing player for EWU. Two years ago he was the player of the year in WA, and the only reason he didn't go Pac-10 (Specifically UW) is because he was an academic non-qualifier.

tacoma,
No, I'm smacking griz fans who are pretty much ignoring the fact that while the Griz are winning, they are doing so against some pretty bad competition.
That's fine, though; it will make things far more fun when they struggle during the conference schedule...
NOTE: None of my comments on this thread indicate anything about the Bobcats performance thus far this year. I simply don't want to think about it!

A few of those teams are right at .500, like UC-Santa Clara, Stanford & DrakeEl_Gato wrote:Griz games vs DI teams with records above .500: 2
Griz record in those games: 1-1
Impressive.

#3 in the Country in FG% with 52.5% (only Indiana & Florida are higher)
#9 in the Country in Assists per game with 19.6
#16 in the Country in Scoring Offense with 82.4 points per game
#16 in the Country in Win/Loss percentage (90%)
#30 in the Country in Scoring Margin with +14.6
#32 in the Country in Free Throw Shooting% with 74%
#37 in the Country in 3pt Shooting% with 39.8%
#50 in the Country in Rebounding Margin with +6.3
Pretty impressive I'd say! If it was the Cats with this record, and those stats, I'd be impressed. Fortunately for us Griz Fans, its the Griz

One other thing...

90% chance to beat the cats... Ouch.... Just kidding Cat Fans, the Cats seem to be getting somewhat back on track now...hopefully they fall off the track during the Griz game

Impressive.Also....you are looking to be impressed? How about only Indiana and Florida have a higher FG% than the Griz? Still not impressed? How about these rankings too:
