I can't remember which thread it was in, but at one point we were having a discussion about Denis Leary's Comedy Central Christmas special, where he had a lot of jokes about Christianity. The alarmist Catholic groups were up in arms about it and were trying to get CC to take it off the air. CC refused. This led a couple posters to question whether CC would have acted the same way if it was Muslims who were offended, and argued that we have a double standard in America whereby Christians are victimized by the media, but all other religions are treated with nothing but respect. Apologies if that isn't exactly what was said, but I hope I captured the gist of it.
I actually caught part of Leary's special on CC, and there was actually a pretty funny bit on it that parodied the Charlie Brown Christmas, except that Chuck and Linus accepted Islam as their true relgion and became Jihadists. At the end, they ended up dead (after exploding a bomb on stage at the pageant) in hell, and Chuck was screaming because there were no 70 virgins waiting for him. So I guess in this case, CC did in fact satire Muslims as well, and pretty viciously. I guess no Muslim groups found reason to make a stink about it, though.
In other Muslim-humor news, there is a movie coming out that I have known about for quite awhile through a very strange coincidence. A good friend of mine has become friend with Albert Brooks through their wives, and so my friend and his wife are actually extras in Albert's new film:

I have to see it just to find Bob and Karen, but I'm also curious as to what the reaction to this film will be.
