Savor the flavor b/c those days are just about done. Let's see:

QB improvements: check
WR upgrade: check
addition of dual threat RB: check
game in WA-Griz: check

Plus you have lost the only reason, Lulay, that you have any victories over us in the last 20 years (LOL).

Interesting thoughts '02. The ONLY reason we won was Lulay-- inferring the ONLY reason you lost was Berquist.

But then you list ALL the other improvements you need to have in place to compete next year. Assuming that you get a QB improvement, and that you get the improved recieving corps, and you get an improved running game-- I would have to agree, it will be competitive next year. Because we will have all that and more-- CALLED MOMENTUM- 3 outta 4 and this years win.

It's funny what fear brings out from those who were once cocky.
Still have the trophy-- it looks great. :P

How could I have inferred that the only reason we lost was Bergquist when I was referring to last FEW years? The common denominator was Lulay, and now he is gone. If we had any semblance of offense this year we would've scored more than 6 points, ergo, the game would've been closer. So, by logical extension:

-Your greatest player has graduated meaning that advantage (both offensive and intangibles) have been eliminated.
-Our offensive problems have been/are being dealt with via I-A transfers and maturation of players already in the program.
-The game is on our turf

Get ready for another 16 in a row (16....damn that's crazy)

Yes, many Griz fans made the argument that we would win the game this year because the game was in Wash-Griz.

Also, many Griz fans were making the point the Bergquist is better than Ochs

And we certainly added a dual threat RB for this years game

But I guess some of us thought that Allen would pan out better than he did. Congrats on going 1 for 4.

The point I was making '02 is exactly the same one you make, the past 4 years with Lulay have been a team effort, not simply Lulay. No doubt Travis was the leader and he created the opportunities from his position, but no man, even Lulay does it alone.

I think our defense had alot to do with those wins, maybe more than the offense. Our defense will be back with a vengence next year after winning the battle for the number 1 defense.

Our offense is not focused on 1 man, as evidenced by Groves running away on that slippery field with offensive honors. Get ready, the strength of the team has risen to more than a one man show.

There will be no 16 in a row's and even you know it. We'll probably lose a few from time to time over the next 16 years.

LMAO @ Bobcat delusion.

So, 76, basically what you are saying is that the Bobcat D was garbage for 16 consecutive years and then when Lulay arrives all of a sudden your defense coincidentally turned into nails at that same precise moment? I call ******. Your team had over a decade and a half of losing before TL arrived and THEN you started winning games. Not before. And certainly not after. Face it - this year you had the good fortune of playing against the worst Griz offense perhaps ever on your own turf and could only win by ten.

Your winning streak over The Flagship stops at 1.

Actually the winning is mainly due to the program Kramer built. Lulay definitely helped the cause but if you look back I think we've had statistically the best defense in the Big Sky for 4 of the past 5 years. Probably didn't happen once in the "decade and a half" before Kramer arrived. No coincidence there...
