I was attending MSU at the time and worked in the Hedges food service as a cashier (beeper boy). I knew who Larry was and also a handful of Basketball players. The Basketball team had lunch at hedges cafeterias that day. I talked with Phil Layer (I am pretty sure it was Phil) as he left and he said this Krystowiak player from Missoula is going to be a good player and we are going to steal him from Montana. Jump ahead a few hour, Derek Pope gets a monstrous slam and this guy in street clothes sitting on the Bobcat bench is whooping it up almost sanding on the playing court. I was plugged into my walkman listening to Dean Alexander while I watched. Dean was trying to figure out what Bobcat player was celebrating the dunk on the bench.

It was damn embarrassing :oops: :oops:
