I heard that UM gives us 1600 tickets. Of those 1600 the boosters get to divide 1000. I'm not sure who gets the others but I assume the students get a share and they hold back some for parents, coaches and "corporate" folks.

What does GAA mean, and what does each priority mean? Does that mean that they are only for Griz season ticket holders, in which case the students are surrounded by Griz, in our tiny section in the very corner of the field. Where do the rest of the Cats sit? In the single game seating areas?
If so, that is kind of weak they seperate the students from the rest of the Cat fans.

Last time the MSU fans were in 102 and 130...don't remember seeing anyone down at that end of the field (111) but then I again I wouldn't have been able to see that from my seat in 102.
They do separate the MSU fans, but then again so do we when they play here.
Edit: GAA is the UM Booster program. The various "priorities" presumably correspond to how much $$$ you donate.

They should let fans sit together.
Every other game does, but then again, there aren't near as many opposing fans for the opposing team as there is for any other game as there is for Cat/Griz.

GAA means Grizzly athletic association. It's been changed to GSA (Grizzly Scholarship Association, I think). What that means is you have to belong to the GSA in order to buy seats in those sections. Each section is a different level and the costs rise as you go towards the 50 yard line.CelticCat wrote:What does GAA mean, and what does each priority mean? This must be your first Cat/Griz game. It works this way at both schools. No need to give the opposing fans much opportunity to be loud. If it is your first cat/griz game, you're going to love it. Have fun.

It's my third, but I've always felt fans should be allowed to sit together, like they are at every other game.
Oh well, it'll be fun to hear the mumbles and protests again as the Griz pile out of their stadium whilst we stay and celebrate.

I'm pretty sure there is always 2 sections for visiting fans @ Wa Griz - 1 above the visiting bench, the other in 111 where you are sitting. I think last year they also put some visitors in the SEZ, but I don't remember seeing that this year.CelticCat wrote:It's my third, but I've always felt fans should be allowed to sit together, like they are at every other game.

FYI the UNC band was seated in 111 last game. They are really pretty good seats, and Cat fans will be reasonably well grouped together.

Oh no, please don't get Bronco started again about how mistreated he was at the Cat/Griz game last yearbronco wrote:Looks like you have better seats then were offered to Griz fans at the cat box. You'll also find that if there is snow the stadium seats in your section and the walkways will have the snow removed... unlike the Griz fans seated in the wooden bleachers found.

Two years ago, the Cats also had section 130 (all or at least part).grizbeer wrote:I'm pretty sure there is always 2 sections for visiting fans @ Wa Griz - 1 above the visiting bench, the other in 111 where you are sitting. Re: CAT/GRIZ TICKETS
Section 111 is in the south west endzone. That section starts at about the minus 5 yard line on the west side and goes all the way back to the end of the end zone. The seats are really much better than they sound! I sat in that section for 3 years.Cats14 wrote:hey i just got my cat/griz ticket at the field house today. they said they were only selling 250 to students. is this about ave. compared to other years and how many total did missoula send down here for cat fans total. my ticket is for section 111 does anyone know where that is and if they gave us a block of seats or spread us out. anyway though it is going to be a blast.

I have only missed 3 or 4 CAT/griz games since 1984. I even had the priviledge of getting a sideline pass for one during that span. FUN!!!! I have my tickets for this one and I don't care if I sit in the nosebleed seats. I am going to scream and yell loud enough for BH to hear me. I will have fun, it is a great experience and as embarrassing as it is to admit, WA Griz stadium is a great environment to watch the game. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE CATS WIN!!
