HB that's very sweet. my kids are my whole world! I wouldn't trade one little giggle for anything else on earth :D But like ChiO - if you ever want to take one or both for the day, i could use a nice long break

us stay at home moms like ChiO and myself wouldn't give it up for anything, but man we're tired!!! :D

oh, agree with that speeding up process. I always joke with my single guy friends about it. Of course i know i'm their dream woman, they just have to be able to handle two wild kids, all the animals, and oh yeah Brian too :D

where part of MT are you fishing? i know some gals. :D

rebecca with your stories you are making me wish i can just skip dating and go straight into marriage...i have always wanted family/kids
It is my firm belief that the dating process (including the frustrations that result) is nature's/God's way of telling us that we shouldn't be having kids quite yet.

Well, actually, nature tells us to jump on anything that breaths, breed it, and then run away, but my first cutesy assertion about nature is a bit more poetic.

HB _ don't listen to Brad , he has a cutie in D - doubt he's going anywhere  i really like her, she's great!

And after dinner with both of us, and our conversations he's not as far away from the "parenting" issues as he thinks :D

also, Brad knows i make darn good looking kids, so any man would be dumb not to breed with me  and if nature was really making men mount everything, I wouldn't be stessed out the way I am

Yeah, the family and kids will come soon enough. In the meantime, focus on the things that you won't be able to do as easily when that stage of your life in upon you. Travel extensively. Expose yourself to new cultures and people. Try new foods and drink new drinks. Capture just a tiny slice of all of the wonder and beauty that the world has to offer, and you will be a very happy and lucky person.

And then, when the time comes, focus on the beauty that comes with a family. Then, as the kids become old enough to appreciate it, start the whole process over again.

Every stage of life has its rewards. The trick is to milk each one for all that it is worth as opposed to pining for the next one to come along.

Easy advice to give, harder advice to live by.

yeah, laughter is good. I just think it's funny. I meet so many men affraid of settling down, but they date the same woman for years and years. I have a friend I've known from MSU days and everytime I see him I'm like "wow you'd make really good looking babies" great genetics in his family. He jokes that if i had just not been so "baby crazy" he might have just had to rock my world

guess they knew that about me at MSU , I'm a breeder. darn it! i guess it worked well at weeding out men that don't like kids. also the commitment phobic ones don't date you either, so i knew poor Brian was in it for a long haul when we were set up. of course if he didn't know this about me prior to meeting me, with in an hour he was schooled

But i do know some nice single gals in MT, PM me.

as for Brads advice - must be a guy thing. we know when we are ready to pop kids out  i still know several men that have great genetics, they'll just wait until late 30's to do something about it. I'm not patient, poor Brian got pounced and now i'm done breeding. So I will be 45 and child free and having a really good time while I'm still young enough to do so :D

funny

I think he's tried to sell me on ebay once - but the bidders told him he'd have to pay them to take me off his hands

I know he's asked my dad to take me back a time or two and his standard response is no trade ins. That's okay i've complained to his mom that she pawned off defective product and she responded "rebecca don't you know ALL men are defective, you just need to find the least defective one you can find and PRAY!!!!"

guess it's a love hate thing, but trust me I'm not so nice when I'm actually pushing for 22 plus hours to deliver huge babies. I'm not sweet to the nurses either when they cut off the pain killers  I'm down right pissy, but that every woman I know so far

as for getting rid of him i tried, he just comes back. Fed Ex even returned him saying my postage was not enough to send him to the moon. I wonder what they charge to send a man to H*LL during those really bad times of the month

Guess you'll find out soon enough once your hitched and that pain in your rump never leaves you. It's a good thing though, right?

HB -oh were you referring to the pounced part? sorry lack of sleep or may be I'm just clueless :-k

If Brian did complain, well, he'd end up like the dog  which I think should be the standard response to any man that would complain about his wife. i don't mind what men say about girlfriends, but once you have a wife you have to respect, honor , and love her above everything, so any man that degrades his wife is no man at all, rather a pile of manure.
sorry, no more preaching.

I'm sure there are women you know that would make fine partners. i heard it's an 80% 20% thing (Dr. Phil i think). If you find an 80% match you can work on the other 20% and have a great marriage. with us personally it's just I don't know what works and what doesn't. i think men are restless at times, but when it comes down to the chance they can lose their family, it's an about face. They dig in their heels and screw their heads on right. same for women, it's nice when attractive men are sweet to you, but you weigh family over tight wranglers and family wins hands down. it also helps to let her buy a massive dog to cuddle with and you wont worry about any other men trying to come by and say "hello" :D

Among other things you lose when you have children, privacy is a biggie! If you lock the bathroom door, they will stand outside of it and scream and peak under the bottom.

No, I wouldn't trade them for the word, but when they emptied an ENTIRE FAMILY SIZED jar of peanut butter on themselves, the couches, and the floor I was tempted!

Having kids is a strange and unusual experience. A love/hate relationship. They teach you as much as you teach them, and most of the time you don't even realize the things you've given up because they just don't matter anymore.

agree with ChiO - haven't been alone in the bathroom since the stinkers came along. They even shower with you from time to time. funny what kids do, and how you really don't miss pre-kid lifestyle. well, we didn't have much pre-kid lifestyle, as we married young and had kids pretty much right away. so many of those things Brad describes i don't miss, because i never did them.

We'll be retired and child free at 45 & 46. We'll enjoy all the travel we want, and may even run away from home for good at that point. I guess ignorance is bliss, I never experienced those things, so I don't have to regret the choices i made.

Butte? well GL would be the one to ask about the local gals, as he is from there himself. My MSU roommate is from there, but she's married and a mom. PM me your info, i'll see if she knows any nice gals in Butte.

too bad about Tech being that way, and I'm already hitched darn it! MSU didn't have that ratio when I was there, besides I married the second Bobcat i dated. My friends would have loved more variety to choose from
I think it was 4 to 3 so pretty even. it sure felt that way, never seemed like there were too many men to choose from. i heard Missoula is as bad as Tech. In that there are very few single people in Missoula.

well, Brian's lucky he only has to share me with dozer. But you can see from my avatar that my "other" boy is indeed a handsome catch :D
