As of today it said 72 and mostly cloudy. 20% chance of rain so my guess it will be decent for the first half and windy/cold 2nd half like usual :) So should be a nice fall football game, just dont' forget the jacket.

Saturday is looking pretty good-70's and 20% chance of rain. Can't really expect it to be better this time of year. Next week is looking good too:
Weather Channel 10-Day Forcast

I would guess a crowd of 13,000 is doable.

bearbac, apparently you haven't read the new thread under Site Announcements.

Smack is that way ------------->

Seriously, as a Griz fan, I wish you would put forth the effort of being a Good Griz fan and less effort being a fanatic Cat Hater. I'm not saying you shouldn't try and ruffle a little Cat feathers (or hair) every now and then. That's what a good rivalry is for. But I would say 99% of your posts are smack and the hatred is all that comes through.

Somewhere I lost track...without dragging in temporary seating, what's the capacity of Sales-Bobcat Stadium? Seems to me we lost a few thousand with the remodel.

We had 15,750 last year for Cat/Griz .. thats with the small mobile sections of bleachers they had in north endzone though. My guess its about 14500 or so w/o the portable bleachers.

It seems like I've seen the figure 13,500 as the official capacity of the stands right now (but I can't find it on the website in my short search), but it obviously can accomodate well over 15,000 if necessary.

Just out curiosity, if they bowled off the scoreboard end of the stadium, what do you suppose that would put the capacity at? Around 16-17K?

The homecoming game against ISU last year was announced as a sell-out with 13,527 according to the Weber game press release- http://www.msubobcats.com/upload/pdf1_2 ... 022897.pdf

I'm sure they blatantly oversell the griz game-because there for sure weren't 1500 temporary bleachers set up for that one.

If they made it a bowl like the new CSU section, that would add 3-4000 people I think. CSU's added 4,000 to their new stadium and I think ours would be around the same size probably? Would depend on how high/deep it was though I guess.

We did lose seating with the remodel. 13500 is our capacity now; compared to almost 16000 before the changes. The removal of the west endzone bleachers in favor of the on-site locker rooms/pavilion is the biggest reason for the capacity decline.

Man, I can still remember those bleachers like it was yesterday. When I was a kid that was the place to go for mischief, plus you could practically sit amongst the band members if you wanted to. Heheh, and the battles over the field goal/ PAT kicks that came back there... man, oh man.

Okay, I'm done reflecting on my youth.
