Hinkleman

Can Hinkleman write an entire article without proping up his ego somewhere in the article? He wrote an article about Kramer possibly leaving that made some great points, but he just can't help but take a few jabs at his main readers in each article he writes. Does anyone else get this feeling or is it just me?

Nope, I felt the exact same way reading his article this morning. Some great points were made about the unknown in bringing in a new coach (though even slightly insinuating that Van Diest would be like Solomanson should be reason for Van Diest to sue for slander!). But by the end, I had a bad taste as again he felt the need to simply chastise the "bad" fans. He really needs to get over it and move on, I am sick of reading that and from the earlier points in his article, it is obvious that he can write solid opinions without needing that crutch.

Good, I am glad I wasn't just being easily annoyed by it. Also, why does he always have to point back to OSU and how he apparently knew everything back then as well. YUCK!

I think Welsch has turned the Chronicle around and made the sports page worth reading, but Hinkleman's attempts to turn the spotlight on himself are getting old.

He makes Bobcat fans look bad, in a way. We all know that's just not true. He needs to quit acting like he's better than Bozeman soon. He has some solid opinions and has decent structure to his writing, but still, the holier-than-thou attitude gets nowhere with me.
