I probably would get beat by Barkley by a goodly number of strokes but I really like watching golf. Some of the shots are amazing.

After finishing T10 last week at the Safeway Open.... Nick is currently (As I type this) in first place at the Shriner's....-6 through 8 holes...

Shot another great round today, but said he left a couple strokes out there... Still leading by 2, but Phil and Day are coming FAST. Has Spygrall tomorrow, so it will be real tuff to hang on. He said his best round was a couple years ago when he shot 63 on the final day to keep his card.

It’s rare for any Tour player to go wire-to-wire. It only happens a couple times per year. Mickelson can have an off day and still shoot 5 under at Pebble Beach; he has a record of success there. I think Nick’s going to have to get to -22. I didn’t see any coverage today, but it looks like most of the field had difficulty scoring.

The tournament director usually sets up the courses for scoring the first three days but tightens the screws a bit on Sunday. There will be lots of bogeys on 14 and the pin will be tucked on 17. The pin will be close to water on 18.

His last hole was really good. Seems to have put all the wheels back on the road.

Yes, the wind is pretty rough. Some of the holes are as high as 23 mph headwinds or crosswinds.
