Just be a Montanan for the day. Not a Cat or a Griz. :)
You know, it probably would be easier for me to root for the Jizzlies if there were some reciprocal support. The Cats make it to a tourney or go to the football playoffs and all we here from Missoula is that we were lucky or we don't belong. But yet, you guys expect us to drop everything we're doing and jump on the Jizz bandwagon when your team advances. And then you whine we root against you. I've got a buddy in Missoula who is a die-hard Griz but yet supports the Cats when he can. One of few first-class people I know. Unfortuantely, the majority of Jizz fans I know are arrogant and can't see past their maroon-colored goggles. I am a native Montanan - born, raised, and will die here. I used to cheer on both teams, but man, I just got tired of hearing all the BS from the other side. Go Wolfpack!

They AREN'T playing at home so the opportunity to steal points from Nevada will be remote. It will be close in the first half and then the lead will slowly move to 10, then 13...with a final victory margin by the Wolf Pack settling around 17. I hope there are A LOT of giggliez in my office pool.

Two things I definitely celebrate...a Bobcat victory and a fizzlie loss. I don't think I will be disappointed this week!

is it possible that you are letting your hate for the griz get in the way of some "logical" thinking? i say logical because if you follow the dance, you will no that the last five years at least one 12 seed hase beaten the 5 seed. and 3 of the last five years 2 12 seeds have knocked of the 5. i dont think it is far-fetched to say that kent state could beat pitt, a&m could beat syracuse, utah state could beat washington, so why is it crazy thinking that this years um team could beat nevada? i don't know yet whether or not i'll pick them in one of my brackets yet, but to be surprised that their is talk about the griz winning to me is weird. and while i don't like rooting for the griz, if you were wanting to put money down on that 17 point nevada win i'd be game!  :D

1BabBobcat, Jag is one of those Griz fans you were talking about.

Griz fans are arrogant. They are going to take a beating from Nevada. The Wolf Pack are a very good team that can advance to the Sweet 16, and the Griz will brag about how they were only down by 8 at half- they will lose by 16 points.

This coming from the guy who refers to the "shi!!ie kitties. Montana has a small chance but with a big man like Fazekas playing face up or shooting on the perimeter, the Griz are in big trouble

Who said anything about shi!!ie kitties? Not me. I think everyone know's (yes, even the folks on egriz) MT has to play the perfect game to win. So, yes, the Griz are in big trouble. Just like any other BSC team woulb be. But, hey, it's fun to think we can win. :D

I'll root for any Big Sky team to beat any former BSC member just on general principle...including the griz. But it's one game at-a-time for me.

Yeah, 'cause when I think of UM, that's all that comes to mind. Some guy just sputtin' all over his hand - feeling good about the moment but never really getting anywhere.

Feeling good about the moment but never getting anywhere -- wouldn't that be a fan that celebrates a 7-5 season and no playoff berth? Can of worms yes, but PLEASE wipe some sanitizer on your hands before you keep typing.

God knows a Bobcat victory hasn't been giving you much pleasure this year, so you might as well look to the Griz for comfort. Either way, you're cool 8)

Could someone please tell me which Region the Bobcats are in? I have looked at the ESPN, CBS, and the FOX SPORTS Websites and can't seem to find the Bobcats of MSU anywhere. Is it possible they were overlooked by the Selection Committee? Thank you.

As the latest thread sinks into smack talk I thought I'd interject and thank the cat fans for their support. I know there's some cocky Griz fans who are pounding their chest on this board, and it seems they're doing it more to spite the cats than cheer for their Griz.

Thanks guys, and even though I loathe anything blue and gold I would want the cats to win if they were in the same situation as the Griz this Thursday.

Sorry, Pal. You're OK, along with Billings Griz and others, but the two posts before yours are why it's so easy to hate the griz (and the real grizidiots have been mysteriously silent).

Go Wolfpack!!!

Thanks for your confidence and support. The Griz will try to defend the honor of their school, the BSC and the entire State of Montana down there in SLC. It would be super if you were on board to share in the moment. Unfortunately it seems you have a stick up your a** that keeps you from assembling with humankind. I hope you grow out of your obvious immaturity.

GO GRIZ!

UP WITH BSC!

......and with comments like that, that's really going to convert Cat fans to rooting for the griz.

Maybe you need to pull the stick out of your ass.
