MBB VS ISU

Post by thefrank1 » Thu Mar 11, 2021 12:26 pm

Danny has the opportunity to set a mark that likely never be equalled. Win a conference tournament by beating three conferences teams that you did not play in the regular season. Go CATS and make some history!

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Had to do something with my anger after last night. Found something that didn't land me in jail. 😎

This would of course require the Griz to make it to the championship, where we'd beat them to go dancing.

I had a theory in my head that I wanted to research, so I did a quick drive -if Borja hits a 3, we win, if not, we lose.

In our 10 D1 games:
10 Wins - 9-21, 42.8%, made a 3 in 7 games (70% of the games)
9 Losses - 5-22, 22.73%, made a 3 in 4 games (44% of the games)

So not as drastic as I had thought but it does seem that if Borja can hit a 3 or two, we have a better chance of winning. The Borja Theory.

We just have no fire. Every team we play is getting up, shouting, clapping, we just play ... with low intensity.

Cats getting it going, Borja with some great minutes and Belo getting fired up! 22-18 Cats.

I'll take that first half finish 37-29 Cats. Gotta make sure they don't come out flat like the women did last night and let the game completely slip away.

Solid defensive effort from the Cats, lead by Tynes. Need to keep up the intensity, something the Cats have struggled with during the 2nd half of the year.

Belo, Kirby, and Fernandez are not going to get pushed around like the ladies were last night.

Can you imagine if Belo threw his elbows around like Klinker did? People would end up in the hospital.

Interesting half time interview with Jon Kasper. He was talking about the logistics of the tournament with Covid. Jon got a little emotional about being able to play the tournament.

Yeah that was good. Probably a combo of him being tired, him being happy that the kids get to play, and overwhelmed with the amount of work that it takes to put on a tournament in these conditions.

Love how they've started the second half. Got a little swagger I haven't seen out of this group much the last 6 weeks or so.

That foul on Belo was just awful. The guy's been bullying him all 2nd half and he slipped. I legitimately have no idea what they called there.

As Bob Greene would say, this game is rougher than a pine cone toilet seat.

That's about the 6th terrible call against us this half. They just keep getting worse and worse.

Appears the fix is in.... I mean at least 3 times the commentators totally thought MSU was going to get the favorable call and it actually went the other way...quite clear calls too.. come on boys! Overcome!!!
