Just curious - not trying to talk smack or start a fight. But if the roles were reversed right now and it was us going to SLC to take on Nevada, would you honestly be cheering on the blue and gold just as you are encouraging us to root for the maroon and silver? Honestly, about 5 or 6 years ago I really would be rooting for Montana to do us proud even though I am a die-hard Bobcat. But with all the arrogance and s**t-mouthed Griz fans we have had to put up with lately, I just can't get myself to root for you guys.Grizzfan wrote:Thanks for your confidence and support. I hope you grow out of your obvious immaturity. Two things I definitely celebrate...a Bobcat victory and a fizzlie loss. I don't think I will be disappointed this week!

I can honestly say that if the shoe were on the other foot, I would be rooting for the Cats without a doubt, as they would be representing our conference and our state. There were plenty of us Griz fans rooting on the Cats last time they made the tourney - it just wasn't so apparent because the internet hadn't been invented yet.1BadBobcat wrote:Just curious - not trying to talk smack or start a fight. Thanks for the posts guys - you are starting to make me believer that are some classy Griz fans out there. I think the reason alot of Cat fans have a hard time swallowing the Griz success is that for awhile the two programs have seemed to be going in opposite directions. And with the additional success you guys have had, it just accentuates how mediocre our program has been. Pretty much the same scenario we had with football until Kramer got things going in the right direction.tacoma_griz wrote:I would be rooting for the Cats if the roles were reversed, infact, I was cheering for them a couple years ago in the NIT.

Not a chance in hell buddy.Another Arrogant Griz Fan wrote:At this point, it's the state of Montana vs the state of Nevada, period. What I like about this tournament is it is one of the rare times that we can set aside the pettiness of our rivalry and root for the team that represents our home state on a national stage.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Look, every fan is different. I know there are Cat fans who simply can't bring themselves to ever cheer for the Griz, no matter what, and that's fine -- I'm not going to badmouth them, tell them they're disloyal to the state, or whatever; it's up to them. There are Griz fans who are the same way. Personally, I always have cheered for the Cats in the postseason, and whenever them winning doesn't hurt the Griz during the conference season.1BadBobcat wrote:Just curious - not trying to talk smack or start a fight. Wow, pot/kettle/black comes to mind there.1BadBobcat wrote: But with all the arrogance and s**t-mouthed Griz fans
I, for one, do cheer for the 'cats. Every game, except when they play the Griz. I like nothing more than some Montana boys (UM/MSU) whooping up on the bigger, faster, players from CA, TX, etc.
Not sure, guessing here, but I'd bet there are more "decent" Griz fans on here than azzholes. Same as on egriz. Ignore the few lame guys who post and enjoy what the others have to say.

I'll definitely pull for the Griz to upset Nevada - even though it would definitely bring on more annoying Grizzly arrogance, bragging, rubbing it in, etc. But I would love to see them win and represent the Big Sky well. Not going to happen though. This Nevada team beat Kansas for cripe's sake...
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Yes-
I too would vote for the kitties.
But then again I HATE RENO, IDAHO & BOISE, not because they left but because they were always AHOLES!!!!
Some Griz fans toast me for this, but I would rather lose to the bobkats then any of the above teams. I think of Bozeman as the brother that I would always scuffle with, but still a brother. BSU, Idaho & Reno are the neighbor kid that everyone hated.

I can stand Reno and Idaho to some extent, but not Boise. The Cats has a pretty good football rivalry with them back in the day. Although we fielded some pretty pathetic teams when Boise was around the Big Sky, we always seemed to give them fits. When they left, there was some discussion between the two schools that they should continue playing the rivalry. MSU wanted a home and home deal, whereas Boise refused to play us in Bozeman - all games in their opinion had to be in Boise. Can't stand them to this day!

I'll be at the sports bar by my work tomorrow at 12 PST for some lunch and the Griz game.Grizlaw wrote:Look, every fan is different. I'm 100% a Griz fan for the rest of the season.

I don't know about live video, but here is a site for live scores that is pretty good:go_catz! wrote:is there a better live video for the Griz game than ncaasports.com? That didn't work too well for me.
If not, how about some live updates?! I don't want to grace the egrizzers with my presence

Nevada players aren't stepping up real well.
But neither are some of the other Griz.
Whoever steps up wins.

I agree, and it hasn't been the stars that have taken over this game. Fazekas has been quieted, as has Criswell.CelticCat wrote:Nevada players aren't stepping up real well.

If Montana can keep control of this tempo, they can pull it out.
