Montana Covid Numbers
I just saw Montana set a new record for daily cases reported. I assume that's because of a 3 day weekend and it's actually 3 days worth of reporting. I wanted to post this on here just to track the covid trends. This is not an invitation to voice your political ideology, so please don't take it as such. This is strictly for data.

On the hospital cases, I'm curious as to vaccine vs non. I finished the vaccine in March, had the covid in July. My wife and I were both mild cases.wbtfg wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 11:18 amI just saw Montana set a new record for daily cases reported. The health dept had a report on that a few weeks ago. I’ll see if I can dig up. My wife and I both had mild breakthrough cases as well.allcat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 12:06 pmOn the hospital cases, I'm curious as to vaccine vs non. Just thought I'd be proactive. You can decide whether or not the first post is going to cause issues but the second one definitely will. I'm all for celebrating records but as far as I'm concerned the only appropriate record thread on BN is https://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewt ... 20&t=49933.

Why would they cause issues? It's just data.....I assume we have adults in the room who are able to act as such. No one is being forced to engage in this thread. But if they choose to engage, I'd expect it to be civil.coloradocat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 1:15 pm@kmax

I don't really understand why people are so excited about the data (other than the last item which doesn't have context) besides the fear porn factor. BN just doesn't seem like the place for it.wbtfg wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 1:54 pmWhy would they cause issues? It's just data.....I assume we have adults in the room who are able to act as such. Re: Montana Covid Numbers
Have no problem with discussing as long as the conversation can stay civil. It's a hot button topic, agreed, but just talking about what is actually happening isn't a problem as long as it doesn't go off the rails.

Same here - vaccinated in April, had Covid in July and my symptoms were very mild and gone by the time my positive test result came back.allcat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 12:06 pmOn the hospital cases, I'm curious as to vaccine vs non. Re: Montana Covid Numbers
I track the MT and Gallatin Co. numbers. I was happy to see that the spike in infections this Fall did not seem to have a correlation to the FB games. In other words, I didn't see a perturbation in the numbers after home games.
Over the past month things have been pretty constant to slightly decreasing. Good health to all!

Re: Montana Covid Numbers
Looking at the statewide new daily cases graph, it does look like MT is just starting down the downslope of the new cases curve, following just behind the national trend. Last year when number spiked in November, it took about 6 weeks until the numbers were getting back close to the bottom of the curve. Here’s hoping it’s that or faster this time.rivercat wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 6:01 pmI track the MT and Gallatin Co. numbers. Re: Montana Covid Numbers
Related note, I just did my daily glance at the COVID numbers worldwide, nationwide, and statewide. Today shows a report of 161 deaths from COVID yesterday. That is the lowest daily death count since March 23, 2020. MAYBE JUST MAYBE we're getting to the end of this thing. Fingers crossed for no new variations popping up and spiking the numbers again.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!
