I don't really see the need to have his booking photo included in the article, nor even a headline-type article in the first place. He clearly messed up, but it doesn't state that he actually hit her or threatened to kill her or anything else that would cause extreme concern (he just broke some stuff, which is frankly no less than one of my exes did to me ... and I wasn't banging someone else to prompt it).
Bad situation all around, and although I don't understand the Chronicle's approach to trumpet this one as much as they did, but I hope he pays his fines and finishes up his degree (which I am actually impressed he is still working towards, even after he was dismissed from the team).

I felt like the Chronicle made a bit of a bigger deal about this than they should have done. What he did was wrong, but it could have been worse. I would bet that they just put it up because he was an ex-Bobcat.
GO CATS!

A very good point.Bay Area Cat wrote:Well, now that I have online access to the Chronicle, I sincerely hope I see a booking photo of each and every person arrested in Bozeman of crimes that are as severe as this one and more severe. I will have a bad taste in my mouth if this does not happen.
I think a letter to the editor is warranted if they do not abide by their current (and recently adopted) policy of publishing the booking photos of everyone who is arrested in Bozeman of any crime equal to, or more severe than assault.
I'd like to say that I do not like this new policy, but I think that they must remain consistent.

Wow that is crazy that the Chronicle put that picture in there. I mean come on, put a photo of him in a bobcat uniform if you are going to use one at all. To me that is flat out class less and I agree with everyone else that we should get to see everyone else's booking photo. Not a fan of that at all, wow.
