I still don’t think Mellott is a complete QB but he’s clearly the best option available. I didn’t think he was ready to play in Cheney. Neither did Vigen.

Will be interesting to see how performs against the SDSU zone coverage scene instead of the man-to-man Cover Zero that SHSU played.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I enjoy the debate. I’ll admit that some comments I added were from reasonable posters but they were just so wrong that it seemed funny to add them. Read thru the thread, it was some good natured ribbing until you got offended.

I did spend to much time on this but the quotes from just a couple threads not much searching. I’m hungover and still celebrating our Cats big W. Not much to consume news wise so I looked at some old posts, thought they aged perfectly and thought I’d share. I hope your feelings will heal.

I always thought it could happen in the future but based on his level of involvement in the offense during the regular season there was just no realistic reason to see it this year. You shouldn’t have any regrets but you like to make assumptions. You assume that Tommy was gaining traction based off nothing more than hope, you assumed that the only reason anyone supported him was because he was from Montana and you assumed that he was a smaller/slower Troy. None of those were accurate. He’s a great QB and he’s proven that every time he’s been given an opportunity.

The desire to argue with people being unhealthy, well you may be on to something there.

That poor child was acting like a whiny little bitch. He left the program before the end of the season because Tommy was taking his spot. I think that’s a bad life decision and it won’t serve him well to quit when you don’t get your way. Hopefully he’ll learn something and not act like that in the future. That was my take on his actions. You obviously don’t agree. That’s fine.
