I swear I was opening a bag of sunflower seeds. I made it through the stripper story, but I read the bronc rider comment and I laughed so hard the seeds went everywhere.briannell wrote:I'm glad others like the idea, as 95% of my own posts include family/kids in them, that way we can contain that talk to it's own section of the board.
I've had some interesting encounters with other parents, and I'm starting to question if it's a good idea to try to meet new people here in WA. the last 3 have me wanting to be very discriminating in nature now.
I was so excited when one of the local moms in the nieghborhood invited me to join her and a few other moms for a little get together, but was shocked after meeting the "group". This is no joke, this actually happened. got there and she's from Australia, very nice, and when one of the others asked her what she did for a living her 5 year old peeps up "my momma's such a good dancer, that they actually PAY her!" us other moms were speechless and she chimes in "oh yeah that's how we bought the nice home and cars I stripped for 11 years, and did adult entertainment!"![]()
the next was a single dad who trains horses and his little girl does Jr. rodeo, I was thinking oh this is so great my kids are into horses, and love rodeo and my son really wants to be a roper. This guy rode broncs and roped, i was excited to learn more, as I only show English, and my boy wants to rope. After 3 weeks of nice talks he blurts out " I may love rodeo, but I love to go down on pretty gals more!" that was the "well it was nice meeting you" moment.
the third crazy can't decide if she wants to bunk down with a 25 year old or a 28 year old, so she's rotating her "man pie" in and out of her house so often that her 4 year old asked me if i knew which one was going to be her new daddy.![]()
see why I want "normal" parents to discuss family with?
by the way we're now skateboarding, I'm no Tony Hawk, but after a week i'm still alive and wellthings are looking up!
I would have posted this earlier....but I've been cleaning up seeds.

I work as an attorney so that I can afford good scotch, which helps me to forget that I work as an attorney.

yeah, I'm almost afraid to talk the parents from T-ball
the rodeo dad surprised me, I was just dumb founded why any man (especially one like 60 pounds smaller than my hubby) would blurt that out to me. Now college buddies do that, pals for years do that, to see how far they can push the envelope sometimes, and I'm all for that. it doesn't bother me that way, heck I heard worse in the training room at MSU
he was serious when he said it, and he even tossed in a few other "moves" he felt I might like knowing he is proficent at
now as for the stripper, I'm sure all the hubby's will be waiting for her to start home schooling the local wives
And I'm sure that can add wonders to a marriage, just I don't need her to tell me how a a month full of $300 pearl shows (which she happily described in detail) paid for the living room set I was sitting on
well, if the hubby's ever go missing, I'm sure we'll find them down at Janine's having a fun boy's night out.
the "man pie" neighbor just makes me want to wager on which guy will win
Hell, I'd be smiling all the time too!
it's fun to people watch, it almost makes me feel "normal".
anyway, anyone have suggestions as to what to do for child care over summer break. do you put kids in summer school if you're working or are different summer camps the best option?

Well, since you're not giving details, I'll just assume you're all talk.labcat96 wrote:I could tell ya but I would have to kill ya. I wish Scats or Bearbac would ask!
J/K -- actually, since you're from Myrtle Beach, I suppose I could just use my imagination and assume the worst (or best, I suppose).
