I'm surprised no one commented on this today. Comedy Central told Matt Stone and Trey Parker that they had to cut out a scene of last night's episode that depicted a cartoon of Mohammed. If not, the episode would be pulled. So Matt and Trey inserted a a black screen saying something to the effect that "Comedy Central won't allow this scene to be aired".
This kicker to this is that Comedy Central apparently had no problem with the scene where Jesus is seen defecating on George W. Bush (it was a phony Al Qaeda film; you'll have to watch the episode to see the context of this).
So, apparently Comedy Central objects to a scene where Mohammed says "Jihad" twice, but a scene with Jesus Christ defecating all over W. Bush is fine and dandy.
A sad commentary of how the Islamic rioting has impacted our pop culture.

I saw that episode last night and thought that Comedy Central was pulling some joke, but maybe not. This episode, although less shocking than some of their recent works, still really pushed the envelope. I think that South Park has devolved into a show that simply tries to shock people instead of what it was at the beginning: raunchy comedy.
GO CATS!

I think South Park is getting better & better as they continue to take serious issues & make fun of them. What other cartoon can make you laugh hysterically & think at the same time?bozbobcat wrote:I saw that episode last night and thought that Comedy Central was pulling some joke, but maybe not. There was something missing in Wednesday night's South Park, as a title card explained: "Comedy Central has refused to broadcast an image of Mohammed on their network."bozbobcat wrote:I saw that episode last night and thought that Comedy Central was pulling some joke, but maybe not. It was not a joke.

Good point. I think South Park is still good, but recently I've had a harder time watching some of the newest episodes.anacondagriz wrote:I think South Park is getting better & better as they continue to take serious issues & make fun of them.
