If that's not single bar life, I don't know what is. worked in a bar back in my MSU days, and this nailed the scene dead on. gave me a chuckle.

going "ugly" early tonight
anyone hear this song? Played on Seattle station the Wolf - so funny I laughed so hard i nearly drove off the road. In a nut shell the man singing the song is singing about how he and his pal were going down to the local bar to pick up chicks for the night. How his friends standards were too high so he'd be going home alone, but not him he didn't care, because he was "going ugly early tonight". At first as a woman you get pissed, but at the end of the song the pretty blonde ( the 10) gets ready to leave with him, turns to her gal pal and whispers "I'm going ugly early tonight, his friends better looking, but i just don't have the time, so I'm going ugly early tonight". He over hears the whisper and says that it's hurt his pride but "how happy am I that she's decided to go ugly with me tonight!"

it made me question the memories I have of us gals going to LJ's. mostly I was the DD, so I had some whits about me, at least most nights. May be that's why i got such a laugh out of it. Because I know how true it is!

actually, they were the ones pushing the drunk guys onto me!
that's why I hope I wasn't a "victim" of this.
especially, when they pile me in the back of a pick up with the hottest cowboy I'd seen in Bozeman, and all he did was want to cuddle
I still think he's a great guy, but he just didn't PUT OUT!!!

I wish I could say that, but no he's straight. Funny how the guy my gal pals labeled as "easy comfort sex" and "such a given" still hasn't put out since we met in 94.
I still don't know why

hell's - huh? sorry don't listen to cletus, so don't get it.
are you saying that your dates don't care, as long as you're putting out ?
you know it's a little simpler when you have a traditional marriage, basically if he don't put out , he gets kicked out.
nah, can't do that, but i'm sure most men would prefer to give in than do the laundry

well, I don't have to worry about this these days. I know hubby was sober when I caught him
Thank God I know that for certain! sober when we met, sober (most of the time) we dated, sober when he said I do. however, today he'd happily take any drink you'd buy him
Nowadays I think he'd freely give me away to any man that can haul off and afford all of my pets
reason #1 hubby wont move me to Montana or ANYWHERE ! 1 pissy cat, 2 dogs, soon to be 3 as I have my eye on a pretty little female Mastiff (I'll get her when he deploys again
), fish, and kids wont leave the ponies.
may be i'll meet Barnum and Bailey at the bar someday, and we'll work something out.
