In one of the crazier games you'll ever see, Southern Utah trailed UNCU 44-35 at halftime. They then went on a 50-24 run to take a 85-68 lead with 5:27 to play. UNCU somehow finishes the game on their own 33-10 run over the last 5:27 and wins 100-95. SUU and UNCU are both now on 4 conference losses, which is a good result for MSU as they move 2 full games up on SUU.
On the women's side, SUU is blowing out UNCU at home while the Griz trail by 14 at the half against EWU.

What a great game but also a crumble under pressure for SUU, turnover on the inbounds and was a lucky bounce away from turning the previous possession away too. Also a horrible possession on their chance to tie. Best you can come up with down 3 is a pick and roll at the top of the 3 point line where the low man is obviously going to switch high and not let the shooter get one off? What is even more bizarre is UNC was actually up by 14 half way through the first half, then SUU was up by 17 with 5:37 - a 31 point swing. SUU was still up 14 with 3:49. Then UNC scores 25 points in the last 3:49 and 9 points in the last 29 seconds. A bigger meltdown I have don't think I have ever seen.
This is good for the Cats as it leaves everyone with 4 losses. Still - per my "path to championship post", the road is to the end is fraught for everyone but particularly the Cats. Just heard the SUU home game has been rescheduled (not verified) to 1 March so Cats have 4 games in 6 days. that will be an unreal scenario - with 3 of the four games against the #3,#4 and #5 teams in the conference.
