Rumor: Rumble in the Stocks

Post by Helcat72 » Wed Apr 26, 2006 12:45 pm

Is there any truth to a rumor about 4 Griz Football players getting into a fight with Hasquet and Jack McGillis recently?

I don't think anybody has said anything about Hasquet being involved in the fight, just that he was at the bar w/McGillis.

From the posts on egriz, this is being built up as the realization of WWIII. If a significant brawl did take place and people were injured, how did it not make the papers ... even just in the police blotter section?

I hope it is simply being overblown in the wonderful fantasy world known as the internet, as what is being alleged would be very unfortunate if true.

The rumor is 4 football player jumped Jack in the Stocks, and beat him up pretty good kicking him while he was on the ground ect, until the bouncers pulled them off. Some are claiming it started after some good natured ribbing back and forth (Griz jokes vrs. Beaver Jokes), other have said that Jack was "mouthing off" and was tryng to pick a fight. I don't know the specifics or the truth, but Jack is not stupid. Granted he is 6-6 215, but trying to pick a fight with 4 football players just doesn't sound like Jack. It is said two of the football players were kicked out of the Stocks a few months back for beating the hell out of someone earlier this year. I really have not tried to find out what the true story is involving the fight but I have heard that Jack got a pretty good beating out of it.

But hey, at least they didn't wear their caps sideways and act like "thugs" in their television intros, because that would be a real tragedy...

That is all I could think of when I heard about this. Call our entire team thugs and then this happens.
