At every turn, Griz beat cats
The Montana men's tennis team gave rival Montana State something to think about Saturday afternoon.
The Griz downed the regular-season champion Bobcats 4-3 at the Lindsay Tennis Center.
The Griz improved to 4-2 in league, 9-10 overall and secured the third seed for the league tournament.
It was the Grizzlies' first win over Montana State since the 1999 season and snapped a 15-match losing streak to the Cats.
“It gives us the third seed so we don't have Idaho State, at Idaho State, in the first round of the Big Sky tournament, which is huge,” Griz coach Kris Nord said. “More than that, it's just beating the Bobcats. I know we were on the equivalent of the football streak (with consecutive losses). It's nice to get the monkey off my back.”

The GRIZ, a quarter century of total football dominance over the cats.

Those 15 turns weren't beating the Cats, right?Eastcoastgriz wrote:The Montana men's tennis team gave rival Montana State something to think about Saturday afternoon.

I agree with your statement 100%, now will you please stop rubbing in your 3-20 record v.s. the Griz in football? I have no idea what the overall record is, but I do know it is something like the Griz quite a bit, and the Cats not as much...So please, we will call off the tennis goons, if you admit football inferiority.El_Gato wrote:Only jerseygriz would post a 1-15 record as a positive for the Griz.
Well, maybe bearbac mtn. and scats would as well...
However, if you want to claim current football dominance than give our tennis team the nod. Personally I just think, past statement = hyporcite....

That won't be a problem. We'll take the current football dominance and in about a week or so, current tennis dominance will no longer be able to be made on the part of the jizz.Topher wrote:I agree with your statement 100%, now will you please stop rubbing in your 3-20 record v.s. the Griz in football? I don't think we should even talk about basketball dominance, basketball season is over. Tennis season is going on right now, and therefore I think they (and the tracksters and the golfers) should get the main focus. Football and basketball are fun, but arguing over who team is better when they aren't even playing is pointless. You guys won the last one, kudos. Enjoy it and hope you win the next one.lifeloyalsigmsu wrote:That won't be a problem. The arguing during spring football drills has to end. We won't know crap until the season starts.

Great job...Your tennis team has a lot to be proud of, I am gunna take a moment to plug our women's golf team right now however, and say they also got the job done.longhorn_22 wrote:"Bobcats Win Third Straight Tennis Title"

Couple of good headlines from Saturday.
With that said, good luck the rest of the year with your track and field, and good luck with the national tennis tourney.
Peace
