Seeing how you got smoked by Cal Poly at home on November 26 and that was your last game of the season, could you please inform me who the griz played in December last year.

Tacoma griz was implying that the cats dont play in December and the griz do. So I ask again and maybye, just maybye you can give an answer to the question I ask (I know you will just dodge it again but I'm holding out hope.) Who did the griz play in December?

How about prior to 1995? The Griz had a team for a 100 years before then, enlighten us about all the success that they enjoyed during that century.

:goodpost: =D^ =D^ =D^ =D^

But they were "one game wonders" because they could USUALLY beat the Aggies from Bozo in Butte and nobody else in their conference. Were I a Fizzlie fan, I'd really be embarrassed knowing how many times a team such as Northern Montana beat them while they were playing the original PAC-10 teams way back then       What's the Cat-Griz record for the last 51 years and that includes 16 in a row :?:

I always love these "historical" arguments about the series. Here are my observations, based on my many years of debating this with Cat fans:

1. Prior to the year 1956, neither team had any national titles, and the Griz owned the head-to-head series record vs. the Cats. However, if Griz fans bring that up, Cat fans will claim that those years don't really "count," because the Griz were playing in a conference with the future Pac-10 teams at the time (although Cat fans also enjoy gleefully pointing out that the Griz were never really good enough to hang with those teams, so I never understood how that logic worked -- can't really have it both ways).

2. Between 1956 and 1984, the Cats had three national titles, and the Griz sucked for a lot of those years.

3. Since 1984...we all know what happened. However, if Griz fans dare to mention the streak, the five title game appearances, the two titles, and the general dominance that the Griz have shown during that time, Cat fans will say "oh yeah? what about before that??"

Thus, I guess the only years that "really" count during the entire history of the series are the years 1956 -- 1984, plus the past four years (not counting 2004, of course, when the Griz waxed the Cats and went to the title game).

Sound about right, Cat fans? ;)

The question was how many games have the Griz won in December?

Your answer was not even reliant.

Yep...which is fine, as long as we all understand that the numbers actually are in UM's favor. ;)

the facts in that case are the facts - um holds the edge in football in the grand total.

but, that is why each victory is that much sweetier (you could take that as a compliment as it is intended vs. smack).
