Can still make it back, but have make shots and get stops.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

Griz beat Idaho which should clinch top 2 seed for MSU. Well, the 2 seed worked well for them last year!

Most discouraging to me is that the outright championship and thus #1 seed would have guaranteed a post season tourney bid.

The regular season champion in the Big Sky gets an invite to the WNIT if they don’t get a NCAA berth by winning the conference tourney. So where we sit now, I don’t know if we will get an invite to the WNIT if we don’t win the tourney.

Did the refs have a bet on that game? I'm not none to complain about refing buy holy cripes did they need to call some fouls on EWU.

Disappointing all the way around. MSU is #110 in the Net ratings and will presumably drop, I doubt they'd make the WNIT. Not sure if there's a third postseason tournament on the women's side like there are the others for the men.

I will be glad to see Beasley go. While she can be great at times, she's very unpredictable. Seems she thinks she's Darian White and she's not.
Sometimes she makes some crazy sweet plays. And sometimes she makes some crazy dumb plays. There was a fall away jumper tonight that only Kobe could ever make and you scratch your head and say "why"? Why are you taking that?

Had to miss this one due to work related stuff. Dang that stings. How do you lose a clincher to EWU on your home court? Do we have the tiebreaker over Sac State? We lost at home to EWU last year too, ended up the 2 seed and won it. Maybe history will repeat itself. The league on the women's side is very unpredictable.

Big Sky Conference is an auto-bid. Win the tournament get NCAA bid.

If NAU were to get auto bid. I would put money on MSU getting WNIT bid (assuming they play in final game of BSC Tournament) due to being co-champ and other champ going to NCAA

MSU does have tiebreaker over Sac due to sweep over UM. If Idaho had beaten UM tonight it would've gone the other way since Sac swept Idaho.

Ref with pony tail was clueless. That said, our playing rec ball tonight is why we lost.

This one really hurt. We Scored 25 points in the first quarter and looked great on both ends. Then the wheels came off. EWU really outplayed, out defended, out rebounded and out shot the Cats the last three quarters. There was a fantastic crowd on hand. I know this was really tough on the players and coaching staff. There would have been a great post game celebration at mid court with Coach Bin taking the mike and praising the turnout and support. But by the end of the game with a 13 point beatdown, the entire place was deflated.

Hard to predict what will happen going forward. Whatever EWU did the last three quarters completely tied up the Cats' offense. If I was an opponent of MSU in the Big Sky tournament, I would study the last three quarters and try to emulate EWU's game plan. We never seemed to get open for three point shots. Our only offense consisted of Darian driving to the hoop and making an acrobatic layup or drawing fouls. She scored half our points. Who knows what will happen in Boise but after tonight I'm not optimistic. Wow, talk about going from the penthouse (beating PSU by 30) to the outhouse (losing by double digits on Senior Night) in the span of a couple of days.

You are more confident than I about getting a WNIT bid. Hope you are right. You would have to consider both Sac State and MSU getting WNIT bids since they are both tied in conference play at 13-5……and Sac State (22-7) has a better overall record than MSU (20-10). I guess my point is that it didn’t matter if we even made the championship game, we would have still been guaranteed that WNIT bid with a win tonight. Now we are at the mercy of a selection committee and that’s not always positive.

So gotta win to get the auto-bid to NCAA, we can do it.

Just a bit “bummed” tonight.

To me it looked like their spacing was terrible tonight. Offensively they packed in the paint and attempted low percentage interior passing trying to get layups when they could have taken 8 ft shots straight away. They didn't go hatd enough to the bucket in order to draw a foul, and if they did Eastern just let them go because they would miss it half the time. They kept turning it over trying to pass through a lot of traffic. When they keep going inside and not scoring there is no confidence in outside shots. I can just imagine what Eastern thought..."Geez, it's easy just sitting out here and shooting 3's, nobody's guarding us"
They need to take a page out of Sprinkle's book on how to play perimeter defense!

I, too, was bothered by the attempts to get the ball inside — not the legitimate entries, but continuing to force the ball inside. At one point in the second quarter I counted like 10 consecutive empty possessions, and about 8 of them ended with forced entries, like passing into a double- or triple-team. EWU was getting away with murder (almost literally) on interior grabbing and body-checking at that point, and we seemed to lose our composure. The radio guy described one play live as “pass into a double-team, caught, and turned right into a double-team.” I just don’t understand how the ‘Cats can go from good to bad so very quickly. I can see us winning the tournament, or taking the first bus home. Does this team have player-leaders?

Oh, man, I love this team. It’s tough to see them struggle.

Go, ‘Cats. Win that tournament. 💙 💛 😺

The ladies snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in this game and it's associated ramifications.

I'm still confident that the ladies will win the tournament. This loss stings, and should fire them up to make a run and a return trip to the Big Dance.

Go Cats Go!

For the first time in #BigSkyWBB history, three teams shared the regular-season title.

Here's how the seeds all played out plus a look at the bracket for next week's @BigSkyWBB
in Boise
