For those in the know, other than a mysterious flight that may or may not suggest that an interview may be happening, any further update on the coaching circus?

I thought this article from the yesterday's Deseret News was interesting. (No pay-wall) The quality of Danny's possible competition confirms that he is a well-respected coach on the rise. Prior to this article, I had not heard that Danny was in the running for the Cal job, although I am not surprised. Do any of the other five candidates have any connection to MSU?

I think we can wrap up the Coach Sprinkle to USU with the Jackson Grant commitment. Back to back to back incoming!!

Wish this site had a like button. Sprinkle is building a mid-major power in one of the highest concentrations of wealth in the U.S. There's no way in hell he sacrifices short term growth for long term gain and wealth. Big Sky and Moonlight Basin are destination locations and the Gallatin Valley will continue to enjoy peripheral benefits of that area up the canyon.

MSU hoops is trending nicely but still isn’t even close to being a “mid-major power” from an objective lens and likely won’t get there given the conference and alumni/booster/fan emphases on football.

I don’t know — basketball already has an Indoor Practice Facility.

If you are getting that from their message board- and keep reading the posts…. The “billboard” is a reader board on some guys car lot, who apparently likes to mess with people.

Most people on that message board are saying they are hiring someone else.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday, from what I recall the mood here was not very positive when a couple candidates dropped out of consideration and at least one reportedly turned down the job.

It also goes to show though that in a coaching search good things can, in fact, come to those who wait.

The USU board now seems to think they'll be promoting their current top assistant. No activity on the Flight Tracker today between Bozeman and Logan!

Team meeting today at 9:00 a.m. before weight training. Hopefully it is to tell the guys that everything is staying as is. Fingers crossed.
