Miller and Lebrum: My side
I am a close friend of the Wright (Victim) family who has read your board with interest over the past several days. I am sorry for foolish people like "Catmom", who cannot see that Miller and LeBrum are plain old street thugs, cold-blooded killers. They made their way to MSU only because they could shoot a ball or make a tackle. Unfortunately, it is not just MSU where this occurs, it is symptomatic of college athletics. However, for anybody to minimize what they have done, or come up with that "they had such bad lives as kids" routine is crap. These punks murdered my friend in cold blood simply because he dressed well and drove a 2003 Chevy Tahoe ---with a 5 year loan payment I might point out.
Please make sure you read carefully how they hunted him down and waited to attack him, and then beat him for awhile before they shot him multiple times. DO NOT APOLOGIZE for them.
As to Adam Rich, he is in this up to his eyeballs, trust me. Please do not kid yourself.
Lastly, if Jason was selling drugs, he was wrong, but from what we know he is alleged to be the smallest of smalltime sellers. He was working at at a fulltime job for christ-sake. And let me remind you, his buyers were a small group of MSU athletes and students. I know this is said often by the families, but he was a good kid, who truly did not hurt a fly and was clearly not deserving of what occurred. He made a msitake, but please do not think he was some drug dealer akin to Scarface or what one sees on TV shows. Remember what goes on in college!!
There is a cold place in hell for these two. Trust me they better hope that they never see the light of day as I assure you that a fate worse than any prison sentence will await them.

I am very sorry that you lost your friend, but in the underworld of drugs and selling drugs, this is what can happen. I think you should take this message to the high school kids and try your best to influence the next generation to stay away from drugs. Does this shock me? Yes, for Montana, this is a shocking crime, but on a national scale, this happens everyday. Drug dealers and the thugs that support them should not get anyone's respect. They are doing harm to our kids plan and simple. Drugs are a voilet crime. Do not tell me that your friend was not hurting anyone, because he was hurting everyone who took his drugs.maxterp wrote:

just how many cat athletes are "up in their eyeballs" in this mess?maxterp wrote:Sorry that is Aaron Rich. He has grown up to be a has-been ballplayer and a thug. I have sincere sympathy for the family of Wright. I have met Jason on 3 different occasions. He was a very nice kid. Very personable. Every person that I am connected to that knew him have said that.maxterp wrote:I am a close friend of the Wright (Victim) family who has read your board with interest over the past several days. I am not defending what Branden and John allegedly did (innocent until proven guilty). I have never once said that. I have said that I am sad with the whole situation. Just because my personal relationship give me the ability to say that they were nice to me is my personal opinion.
Your comment that he was killed because he dressed well and drove a nice car is incredible. It all had to do with drugs. Who is kidding whom. All three of these people made choices, including Jason to get into the drug game. Lets not forget that. Regardless of how big or how small the involvement.
I have personally lost someone to a drug related killing and it is not a fun place to be. My sympathies are with you as well.

Sorry to be the jerk of the group, but what makes your comments any different than catmoms? You blast her for defending those two, and turn around and do the same exact thing?maxterp wrote:I am a close friend of the Wright (Victim) family who has read your board with interest over the past several days. Face it - for every criminal (which is what everyone involved in this is), there will be someone right beside them defending them to the ends of the earth. Someone saying "he was a good kid I can't believe he did this." But when you come down to it, it only takes one black mark to change your viewpoint on someone. Perfectly good kid for 28 years, rapes a woman, forever known as a rapist.
Sorry to be an a**hole, but as you can see I don't have a ton compassion for criminals and felons. But I do feel bad for families and friends involved, and wish them the best.
