What I don't like is the fact that Wright lived less than 2 football fileds length away from my house with my girlfriend and her 2 sons here. And if he was deling coke, in this neighborhood and this kind of stuff was happening at his apartment, I guess what I am trying to say is that there are little kids going and coming from school and outside playing in the yards and this goes on, and the cops knew he was a dealer and didn't do anything about it. :?:

I have a huge problem with a police department that knows about a drug house and does absolutely nothing about it. One of my friends has repeatedly called the cops about a meth house near her family's home. She was just recently told that they were aware of it and the car licenses that she gave them. They flat out told her that there was nothing they could do or were going to be doing for some time. WTF!!!! So, when all hell breaks loose at this place and some inocent by stander gets hurt then what?? We have a huge problem with drugs in this town and it scares the crap out of me.

I don't know if you are talking about yourself or a mutual friend (assuming) but that was one of the most infuriating thing I have heard since one of my players (black) was driving with his girlfriend(white) and the cops pulling him over thinking his tags were out of date (I call that DWBWWC -driving while black with white chick) . Then leaned in and asked the girl if she was ok??!! I have so many stories about the cops here harassing the players it would blow your mind.

I got pulled over once for the same reason. The cop thought I had expired tags. I guess coming home at 10:00 on Saturday night being young is also suspect, and I'm not even black or a football player.

We were pulled over in Bozeman once because my husband supposedly drifted over the fog line. The officer came to my side of the car and very seriously asked if everything was okay. It was odd at the time but I appreciate that they are looking out for people. If I would actually been in trouble I would have been thankful... so I think that is a better way to look at it. No ticket, no foul?

no, but with the construction on durston, it's an easy way to get to 19th. it was me who got pulled over and it was totally bogus, actually, for any lawyers out there, my durango doesn't even offer a spot for front plates. in order to have one i'd have to duct tape it myself! is it fair that i got pulled over for not having one? that's it...i'm suing dodge!

The new law in Montana does not require a front license plate.

The last time I was pulled ove was in Missoula after a Cats game. My blinker did not turn off when I entered the interstate. A 1/4 mile later, I was pulled over. When the officer could not smell alcohol, he said he had a to back up another officer and reminded me to turn off my blinker. I was pulled over because he saw I was a college kid, my brother's nephew, and I had Bozeman plates. I am sure he was looking for an easy DUI.

which i mebtioned to him that that is what i thought. he said it was untrue and i needed one on there. and they wonder why many think the police in this town are lame.

When did that law take effect? I was pulled over for the same thing this winter. My car looks kind of sketchy. The cop sure looked suprised when he looked in and saw a well dressed guy on his way to work.

Profiling or stereo-typing? The police do both. I used to get pulled over constantly when I had a sports car. I swear you can drive a Ford F-150 w/roll bar and Yosemite Sam mud flaps at Mach 2 and they just tip their hats at you as go by. Or a mini-van.

Are you sure you do not need a front plate? I know that you do not need the tags on the front, but I just licensed a vehicle and they gave me two plates. The tagged one to go on the back and the other on the front.

Speaking of plates, I just got my notice from Flathead County for renewal. On the back was all the state generated propaganda (I assume) for dUMb plates :hot: Not a good use of good will, I have to say  I've had MSU plates since I returned the summer of 2002, so it only serves to reinforce what I've written in jest and in the smack section as to where the dUMb fans wind up working #-o

Getting off topic here, but there was a bill in the last legislative session that would have eliminated the front plate requirement, but it failed to pass. I don't recall any other legislation that would have changed the requirement.

I was hoping I was the only one that got that and they were sending them out with both schools. That makes me mad. I have 4 cars all with msu plates (which I have had for many years). I did actually put a note on the back when I sent in the payment for the plates. I did get a note back from gallatin county telling me that it is all sent out from Deerlodge and that I could send my complaints to them. I am starting my letter today!!!
