Senator Joe Lieberman's race as an Independent

Post by HelenaCat95 » Thu Jul 13, 2006 11:16 am

Word has it that if Lieberman loses his primary in Connecticut, then he will run in the general as an Independent. There is a very good chance that he will lose the primary and this scenario might play out.

How will the Connecticut GOP, party and voters, react to this scenario?
This article may shed some light on where the Republican Party is leaning.

Last I heard Lieberman was ahead in the polls by 10%. Most poll numbers if Lieberman ran as an independent and this other guy ran as a Dem had Lieberman winning 44% to the Dems 29%

Only one poll recently had those two close, but its margin of error was much higher than any others. I think we'll see more of Joe in the Senate after this November. His 1st test will be the August 8th primaries.

I cannot stand Liebermans voice. But I do like him, I'd definately consider him.
