Can Pres Bush not learn to be careful around a microphone? How many "ooops, I didn't know it was live" comments can one leader of the free world have?

I found nothing wrong with his comment. It wasn't directed towards a specific person. Fankly, I agree with the comment.

Oh, I don't disagree with it. And I was not the slightest bit offended by the cuss word.

I'm just sick of his off the record comments being made in front of a live mic!

I'm sure the wacky right is saying he was temporarily taken over by satan, and that's why he said ******. Sad part is, they would believe it.

I'm still wondering what was "ironic" about his assertion about Syria. Yet another person in America that doesn't know how to properly use that word. Does "No Child Left Behind" provide any funds for adult ed tutoring?

I am offended that politicians don't swear more often, personally. If D.C. was more like Deadwood, the world would be a really cool place ... and much funnier, too.

And I'm sure the wacky left will try to get Bush impeached for this. The only people that think of these ideas, like your satan comment, are the liberals.

and pat robertson, spokesman for the right, said that God would smot the Pennsylvania town. The left doesn't need to say anything about satan, most don't believe in "it", the right doesn't a good job of condemnation all by themselves. The left wouldn't have any response right away because they wouldn't know what to say, they would need to hold meetings.

Wait...doth my eyes deceive me, or is a conservative actually attacking liberals for coming up with idiotic reasons to impeach presidents?

That is ironic. (Note the correct use, BAC. ;) )

You are now way ahead of both Alanis Morissette and GWB. Well done.

I'm pretty sure I was attacking liberals for coming up with idiotic reasons to impeach Bush.

The sad part is, you clearly still don't see the irony. What a pity. *sigh*

Not so sadly, I do, but I hardly can recognize it as one in the same.

Well I'll tell you what: if the Democrats actually do impeach Bush for this (or for any of the other reasons that have been recently discussed in certain circles), then I'll be the first to agree that they're being ridiculous.

Seeing as how that hasn't happened, though, (and hasn't even been seriously discussed by anybody that isn't generally considered a zealot), and seeing as how the Republicans actually did waste millions of taxpayer dollars impeaching Clinton for what can only be described as one of the most idiotic reasons imaginable, can we agree that, for now, the score in the "Impeaching Presidents for Idiotic Reasons" contest is Republicans 1, Democrats 0?

You're right; they're not one in the same. Dems have only talked about impeaching Bush for idiotic reasons; Republicans actually did it. Which would you say is worse?
