WBB at Arizona State

This one's ugly just like last year, Cats are shooting 20% and trail 45-27 at the half.

Better in the 3rd quarter. 60-52 ASU after 3.

MSU is 20-22 from the line, that will always help!

75-62 is the final, Cats got within 4 but were outscored 15-2 the rest of the way.

Game of runs. Cats clawed their way back in the 3rd but couldn’t close it. As a team, great at the FT line today. Never stopped fighting. Having a consistent outside shooter would be great but players are starting to step up in other areas and getting comfortable in their roles. Can’t wait for Tuesday’s game.

Limardo 18 pnts 4 rebs 2 assists
Dykstra 17 pnts 6 rebs 4 assists 3 steals
Deden 9 pnts 8 rebs 1 assists 3 steals
Picton 2 pnts 4 rebs 3 asssists

I only watched parts of the first half and parts of the second. But the second half looked way more mature. The ‘Cats finally looked like they got rid of the “big eyes” and just started playing basketball the way they know how. Credit to Madison Hall for doing her best to stabilize the guard line, which is really missing Dylan Philip. Our seniors started to play like seniors, and it was fun to see Kaitlyn Limardo (Limardi according to the ASU announcing team) and Marah (Mariah) Dykstra be more assertive with their skill set. While the first half didn’t go well, it was worlds better than the 0-20 start (at home) last year. It was obvious that there were issues already, and this year looks a lot more like team play. It’s going to be fun. 💙💛😺
