Now would be a good time to remind everyone of the tendency of Griz fans to welch on their bets. I know you’re well aware but I just think it’s important for newcomers here to remember that.

P.S. My cousin wants 14 points and in the next breath tells me how confident he feels about a gris victory. Haha

It this true\confirmed... or one of those gray areas where it wasn't exactly clear what the bet was? Because if someone actually bet you $5,000 that the Cats were going to beat Griz in YOUR stadium this year by more than they did last year, that might be the dumbest bet I've ever seen, anywhere in the universe.

I agree with you. The bettor confirmed the bet multiple times. We explored finding someone to hold the money. There was one or more volunteers. The bettor kept bobbing and weaving. He disappeared as the season went on.

That’s what I was told by several people who would know. Also, that he gets offers for 2 to 3 times his current comp from time to time. When he first came back to UM, he turned down 7 figures long term to be the San Diego St head coach. That one I know for a fact.

I don't know where the list came from, and haven't talked to Bobby or his friends about this, but note that Bobby turned down the job previously. It looks like it's the same SDS AD, tho.

Yep, Schmitt said there wasn't any talent on the team, nobody on the 2023 griz would've started for his teams of 15 years ago, and the griz would only win 6 games. So if you're gonna collect receipts then go start there.

Yup. At the time, I said Schmidt was wrong. I was right. He was wrong. He is not close to the team. I am. I like Andrew, but he likes to be controversial at times. A number of 2023 guys would have been standouts on his team. Gillman and Ostmo are better than Schmidt. Not Etu, Lex, Justin or Chase. Bobby says Gubner is best D player in Conference. Bergen and Hill. I wonder how many Cats would start on Schmidt’s team. Based on Saturday. Any? The Cats showed little or nothing in that game. Saturday is my receipt.
