In the pregame interview Coach Logie said he rebroke the bone he broke last year. So that's gotta be real disheartening for McMahon.

Boy that is sad for him. Sounds like out for the year based on how long out last year?

That really really sucks for him. Hope it's not as bad and he has a path back. Wouldn't wish this on a gris.

Heartbreaking. Such a great player who just can't catch a break. I believe one of Patrick's family members posts here on the forum, so we all wish him the best in his recovery and Bobcat Nation is behind him all the way!

I am so bummed for Patrick. He is such a nice young man and he will really be missed. Really one of our guys that could create his own shot , go inside or outside.

I was so excited with his commitment when I saw his high school highlights. Thought this would be his big year. Hopeful that he can get a medical redshirt and keep the year of eligibility.

Patrick's Dad here ... yeah bummer as he re-fractured that same bone again on a play during the Cal game last week. On the bright side of things, he is loving his teammates and coaches and ready to get the surgery done next week and then the rehab on it again. He'll likely take a medical redshirt this year as the healing process on a Jones fracture takes quite awhile. Thanks for the kind words of support, as he was really hoping for a good season this year. Go Cats!!!!

Wow, what a bad break, no pun intended. Feel sorry for Patrick. Loads of talent and we watched him each time he got on the court. Christened “Mahone” by the announcer, he’s ready for a star turn with the ‘Cats.

He really did look like our most athletic, best shooting player. Big loss for the cats.
