I'm changing my prediction for UM vs NDSU. I didn't realize that the NDSU coach has announced that he is leaving to coach LBs at USC. So for all practial purposes he has basically left NDSU and is now involved in recruiting for USC. Some NDSU players, rather than focusing on the UM game, are probably lining up their stratgies to enter the portal, most likely hoping to go to USC. UM has gotten their "off" game over with against Furman, at least that's what Bobby assures us. UM administered an "ass kicking" as Bobby put it, to MSU, winning by 30 points. NDSU on the other hand, only won against MSU because the Bobcats don't have a reliable kicker for FGs and PATs. And NDSU is FAVORED?? Talk about easy money. Too bad it is so complicated to place a bet in the state of Montana on FCS game (I think you have to do it in person rather than online if I'm not mistaken.) I am now predicting that UM will clobber the coachless, wandering bison herd from Fargo. Hey Bison fans: Enjoy your 14 hour, 1000 mile dirve through the snow over to watch your team get clobbered. Then enjoy your 14 hour drive back. The GOOD NEWS: You will be able to scalp your Frisco tickets to thousands of griz fans waiting to gobble them up. We all know how you Bison faithful love to buy up all of the FRisco tickets.
I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.
That's pretty harsh! You should apologize.
It's all in good fun.

I truly can't stand either team, so I'm rather neutral on who wins.
However, I did wonder, if the gris actually make it to the natty, and by some miracle, win, what are the chances Booby retires? I mean could this year ever be topped for him? Win Cat-Gris, get coach of the year, most wins in the Big Sky all time record, then win the NC. What else would he need to do to go out on that note?
Not that I want to hear gris fans gloat and brag all year, but it would be interesting.
I don't see Coach Bobby retiring anytime soon because he likes to be the big fish in a small pond. Unless of course, he helps create another toxic environment at UM and the NCAA sanctions net starts closing in like it did prior to his departure to UNLV when he left Pflugrad and O'Day holding the bag. In that case, I think retirement would be a more likely option than another run at a Division I program.

I would hate to predict this game. I thought UM would blow out Furman. Wrong. Is NDSU really that good? We had them absolutely defeated if we kick FGs. How good is UM? As our good friend Bobby said, they sure gave us a good ole "ass kicking." So which teams will show up Saturday? Since UM beat us by 30 and we really had NDSU whipped, I guess UM should be the favorite. But then you have Furman. I'm totally confused. I would never bet on this one.
UM comes crashing back to earth Saturday afternoon. NDSU is peaking at the right time, and as I was talking to fans in Frisco about the Bison and they said they were so used to winning the chipper every year the entire program gets lackadaisical all regular season and then kicks it into gear in the playoffs and certainly in Frisco. The Cats actually played a really good game and NDSU went toe to toe with us and pulled off the W, so obviously they're good. Griz aren't dynamic enough on offense, they are banged up on the OL, and their defense isn't going to be able to stop NDSU.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I tend to agree with you, but I'll argue one part of it, and that's the fact that the gris beat the Bobcats by 30 and should roll the Bison just for that reason. That was very clearly the worst game from the Cats, and it seemed like there was something off there. I don't know if the players were mad at Vigen for showing interest in Boise or what, but that game was an anomaly. The Cats looked like a totally different team two weeks later and I think NDSU looked like a really good team. I think they're coming off five impressive wins in a row, even if the one in Bozeman was a little lucky. Having said that, this is their third road playoff game in a row (like SDSU coming to Bozeman in '21), they may be facing some distractions after this week, and it's hard to play in Missoula. It's going to be interesting how much pedigree comes into play. If it does, I think they'll win.

It's gotta be hard to watch...
Not at all. I just hate them, plain and simple.
Too bad EWU and Weber aren't still playing as that might make you feel better...
Nope. I love that we played a brutal schedule. Sure it didn’t go our way, but life goes on.
Griz played the Cats schedule LAST year...but somehow, i don't remember that being an issue last year. NEXT year, the Cats have the 'easy' schedule...pretty sure I won't be here bitching about the schedule.

You should really do some research on the kitties coaches/players before you rip a comment like that one off...DUI's, MURDER charges, etc...don't bode well for those living in glass houses....

Asking for a friend...are the Bison good because they went 'toe to toe' with the kitties? How'd that philosophy work against the Griz again? Seriously, asking for a friend... so, what you're saying is the Cats are 'dynamic' on offense and yet the Griz aren't? Again, how'd that go for the kitties in Missoula? Griz aren't dynamic on offense? Pretty sure they PROVED to the kitties they were just a tad better than that? I'm so confused...

Good place for you.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

2022 Griz schedule wasn’t nearly as hard as what we had this season. We lost to some damn good teams, 3 of which are still standing. I’m not making excuses, I am stating facts.
Punters are people too!!

No glass house here. I don't condone bad behavior by any player or coach in either program and certainly wouldn't re-hire it either. If you send me your address, I'll mail you a copy of Krakauer's book for Christmas so you have something to read instead of trolling the Bobcat football forum.

The Bison are good because, well, they're the bison. You'll find that out on Saturday. That Bison team is a hell of a lot more powerful than Furman. Regarding all that stuff you proved against the Cats..... for whatever reason, that Cat team that played in Missoula this year was not the real Cat team. Nobody knows what happened there but it was by far the worst Cat showing in several years. Do you think NAU is a better team than UM? lol
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Bison are going to absolutely rinse the Griz this weekend.
Furman had a very very good defense but to many hurt players and it took Montana overtime to win that game. We are healthy and gonna put a 40 burger on the cubbies in their house on Saturday. There is not one phase of the game the Grizz are better in and NDSU has the better QB, much better RBs and WRs. This game will be won on the play of the lines and NDSU has a better DL and OL than Montana
NDSU 48
Montana 23

The Griz are the only team that beat the Cats. Cats beat themselves against SDSU/Udaho/NDSU.

2 good teams, both playing well. Check out the NDSU/Cats box score. Cats passed for 230 on 14/19. Ran for 279. Gave up 78 passing yards and 296 rushing yards. Griz should find a way to move the ball. Can they stop NDSU's ground and pound enough to get the ball back? Can't wait.
