WBB vs. Wyoming
This will be an interesting game (Sunday at noon in the Brick) to gauge how the ladies are progressing. BYU beat us 68-60 earlier in the season but Wyoming has already beaten BYU 86-74.
Hoping for a good crowd and a really good game by the Bobcats.

Re: WBB vs. Wyoming
The long road trip and the semester is over. Hope the team is rested and ready to give the Cowgirls a battle. Also hoping the game at St. Mary’s was Brooke Berry’s breakout performance. Drea Brumfield has been MIA since the Cancun trip and will be curious if there is a sighting of her today. This team sorely needs some “talls” to step up and fill the Deden void.

Cats win 64-55! Very balanced scoring and Hein may have had a mini-breakout game with 11 points off the bench.

Suggestion: if you tune in the audio broadcast on the Bobcat network on your phone, then it is possible to pause the video on ESPN+ so that you are able to sync our announcer with the video telecast. Daniel Salle does a fantastic job announcing for the Lady Bobcats. However, if I simply turn on the radio I am not able to sync it because I believe the broadcast is way ahead of the telecast. However, using your phone, the telecast is ahead so all you have to do is pause the telecast just a few seconds and bingo, you have it.

What great win! We almost led wire-to-wire, but they did get a brief lead in the 3rd quarter. We kind of collapsed at the end of the quarters so I was worried we'd let this one slip at the end...but we pulled away instead. It was so great.
Lindsay Hein made their big 6'4" center 2" too short. Her defense was awesome and she contributed 11 points as well. Brooke Berry got us a nice 10 points and played good defense. Wyoming is pretty good, has lot of depth and weapons, but the Bobcats held them off. It was just a great all-around team effort. Three wins over Mountain West teams-not too shabby!

Re: WBB vs. Wyoming
Just got through watching on ESPN+, which I love because I can watch the game later instead of missing it. Good team win, showed some wear and tear after finals week. Team is playing as a team again. First star of the game goes to Brooke Berry. We might have still been stuck on two points. Her quick eight points lit a spark and got all 199 fans into the game. (I’m kidding, but what genius scheduled a game for noon on Sunday? Did it get pushed because of the possibility of football?). Second star of the game goes to Lindsey Hein. A little lost for a few minutes, something set her off (a push?) and she really stood her ground. You could see her confidence growing by the minute. Hopefully her injury is disappearing in the rear view. She disrupted their offense in the middle, and sank a bunch of free throws. Go, ‘Cats!

It was a fun game to watch. Both teams played with intensity. Hein was a major contributor and played a lot of minutes. She was able to negate Wyoming’s inside bigs.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 5:05 pmWhat great win! We almost led wire-to-wire, but they did get a brief lead in the 3rd quarter. This is a scrappy Bobcat team that looks like they are having a lot of fun playing.

Allyson Fertig, the Wyoming center, is a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year and in their previous game dropped 30 points on Creighton! Well done, Lindsey, Taylor, Marah and anyone else that helped out.

Re: WBB vs. Wyoming
Lindsey needs just go out there and be tall. When she figured that out against Fertig it changed the game. Fertig had a hard time getting her shot off. When Lindsey kept her hands up and held her ground she won the matchup. She also needed to slow down a tick on offense and again-be tall. Few can get to the ball when she keeps it high.

I liked her 10-foot baseline jumper. She released the ball nice and high as well. That shot could make her a real problem for other teams.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 10:08 pmLindsey needs just go out there and be tall. Re: WBB vs. Wyoming
I too was thrilled with Lindsey and Brooke having good games. Had to be a big thrill for Lindsey after her injuries. Showed she can be strong on D and also knock down free throws. Hopefully it'll get her going. A tough test Thursday against 10-1 N Texas St.
