I still remember my older (and much cooler) sister trying to explain to me what a "video" was
I think #1 memory should be "when MTV played Videos!"

OK I admit I have not watched MTV in quite a while, but I do have a question:
What does MTV/host do during the MTV Video awards. When I was younger it was the high light of the TV season for me and my friend to gather with liquid refreshments and food and watch. I understand it is still one of MTV's key productions of the year. What do they do! Do they give out awards still or do they just play music.
