Next gris head coach

Post by autocat » Thu Dec 28, 2023 10:43 am

I’m guessing Bob the narcissist isn’t leaving and can’t imagine a FBS school would want him with a 15-48 as a FBS head coach

So….. who would be the gris next head coach: Rosenberg, Pease and Phoenix can’t find work outside of missoula so who would it be?

I think he's going to retire regardless of the outcome of the game. Just a gut feeling.

Though, baby Bobby may apply, with big Bobby staying as an analyst. :-k

I think the only logical replacement would be for Jesus to be reincarnated and sent back to earth.

Baby Bobby doesn't have any experience. He's still a zit that needs to fester before he can get popped.

Haha you're not wrong, but you know he's the all time leading tackler, with the genetics to be the next coming of the Hauck dynasty

Maybe Andy Thompson from Sacramento State. Since he is a former Gris player

We’d still want him fired after a 4-1 start

His ESPN on-field interview after the semi-final game was … interesting. Seemed like a goodbye to me after his last game as coach there.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride

Hmm didn't see that. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

It was, a lot of Griz fans kind of panicking after it as his quote sounded like he was more talking in a past tense of being a coach here. We'll see. Since then at 2 QB Club meetings he's not talked at all about a coach that's half out the door, he's talked about the importance of NIL, and the Griz are actively making offers to guys in the portal on a weekly basis.

If an internal hire is made it'll be interesting to see if it would be Pease (OC) or Bradford (DC). Pease has some public/interpersonal challenges at times but has a wealth of experience. Bradford is pretty new to the scene at Montana but is that public persona type of guy that boosters/fans/communities love.

When this post surfaced my first guess was Pease...

Doesn’t matter who, so long as he remembers to game plan for Troy Andersen.

So... any new thoughts about this since yesterday's game? 0-4 for the natty. If he can't do it with the gris, can he do it anywhere? Who can take the talent on the team combined with a passionate fan base and great home field advantage and actually do something with it? And maybe be a more classy interview to boot.

I fully expect Bobby to be UM's head coach for at least a few more years. He's turning 60 this year which is a bit young for retirement, but old enough that I can't really see him leaving to chase a bigger job at this point.

That's a reasonable take

He is too cocky to retire before he wins a nc

Hmm, hope he's healthy because based on his history, that could take awhile.
