both women & men vs. SDSU
Does it cost anything to watch these games on Summit league network?

The radio guy just said Limardo is out with a undisclosed injury. A very tough game just got a lot tougher.

Is anyone watching this on TV? From the radio call it sounds like the Jacks are getting some home cooking. It also seems like the Cats are struggling on both ends of the floor.

Re: both women & men vs. SDSU
I’m watching. SDSU not called for some fouls on shots under the basket, but not terrible. Lindsey Hein was effective, but picked up two quick legitimate fouls. Being down three planned beginning of year starters in Dylan Philip, Lexi Deden, and KJ Limardo against a team that usually is a ranked mid-major — we’re just short of experience and firepower. But not out of talent. Malia Egan looks good and unafraid of being a freshman. Etc. Etc. But we are probably once again playing one of the youngest lineups in the NCAA. And that’s leading to more fouls being called. Their very strong point guard tends to barrel headlong into double teams and somehow draws the foul even though she initiates the contact. I’ve never understood that call …rfischer94 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 2:46 pmIs anyone watching this on TV? From the radio call it sounds like the Jacks are getting some home cooking. Re: both women & men vs. SDSU
They aren't going to win today but I'm impressed that the Cats have been able to keep this one competitive throughout on the road without Limardo on the floor. SDSU beat NAU on the road in double OT on Wednesday and is a perennial power in the Summit League. Go Cats!

Not seeing a lot of home cooking. The absence of KJ is noticeable on defense and from behind the arc. Still we are hanging in there.
I’m not sure if this is a kept stat, but we must lead the nation — men too — in shot clock violations.

Good comments BC4E, coach Binford said much the same about her team. She added compliments for Johnson and Janssen as well. Man everyone of these freshman players are showing they have good skills and show no fear of going against older stronger players.rfischer94 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 3:39 pmThanks for the perspective. I sure hope Limardo is good to go soon, like on the 11th against NAU.

Re: both women & men vs. SDSU
I remember thinking at the NDSU game that KJ has been remarkably durable during her career. Dang I hope it's not serious. She does so much for this team, both offense and defense...especially defense.

Re: both women & men vs. SDSU
This is sad to watch. We look like we're playing the original dream team. I knew we'd be overmatched but not this bad. We play no defense, can't run an offense, athleticism isn't even comparable. Earlier in the year I got blasted for saying we have high school talent. I stand by that statement. No fault of coach Logie's but this sucks.

You can listen to Keaton's radio call with the Varsity Network app and sync it with the TV broadcast. If it's the same guy who calls the football games, I don't blame you. That guy is annoying.nevadacat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 4:43 pmGonna have to switch over. Re: both women & men vs. SDSU
Your statement that they have high school talent was and is complete ******. They have bottom third D-1 talent and their results indicate that. Today is a terrible game indeed.WYCAT wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 5:00 pmThis is sad to watch. We look like we're playing the original dream team. I knew we'd be overmatched but not this bad.
