Re: Fantasy Baseball
Sadly I am one of those who are no longer active. When this league started I was in my 20s and single, and had all the free time in the world to follow MLB and check my team every day. These days...not so much, I'm lucky if I can find time to check the scores before going to bed.

GG Nick!
You had me sweating today. I really hate that the championship is during the last week of the regular season.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

GG. Went for it all. It does kinda throw a monkey wrench being the last week. Gave it the kitchen sink on the last day. Congratulations on the win!

Nice work boys.....I continue my long standing tradition of a strong regular season, followed by an epic choke job in the playoffs.

Since its the end of the year...this is the annual plea on how you'd like to improve the league. What kind of things could we do to make it more active and fun. There are no sacred cows as this league was always meant to be a fun offseason thing

I wouldn't call it a choke job on your part. More like my squad had the best 2 weeks all year... at the exact right time. The totals in the championship were grossly lower than what i had in the semi's.

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Your squad had an unreal couple weeks in the semi's....definitely brought your A-games. I can only assume they were suffering from a case of Swamp Donkey hangover in the finals.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 1:51 pmI wouldn't call it a choke job on your part. Seriously though....always a fun season.

Today the league was reactivated. Let me know ideas and such so we can make this more fun for the people who are interested

I have 5 keeper worthy players but only 4 slots. Anyone interested in a 2 for 1 keeper trade?
Would part with judge, betts, freeman (pick 2) for a high end first round hitter.

We are rapidly approaching the start of the season. If there are things you don't like or want to different were running out of time to do it

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Have we talked about a reset? Haven't done one in awhile so just curious.
Also, I want to put in my $5 to move the playoffs up a week. I hate having the championship during the last week of the season (in any league, not just MLB).
There are SO many teams the rest players. I think it's unfair to the season and the teams as a whole.

I made some trades last year to add young talent to my team so I’m less excited about a reset.
That said, this isn’t high stakes, so good with whatever.

I think resets can be good but if we're going to do them again they need to be on an announced schedule.

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Thats good stuff.
I think I can easily change the playoff schedule for this year.
We can probably talk about a reset throughout the season. Obviously people are going to have players they are attached to in a keeper league. If numbers were to shrink sometime then it would be more needed.
