WBB: Sac St, No Colorado, and Weber state will have roster rebuilds. Sac St is being wiped out. Freshman of the year, Summah Hanson is leaving along with fellow starter Irune Orio and 6th person Kaylie Edge. Amusan is out of eligibility so they only have 2 players returning that saw action this year.(one from Netherlands and the other from Germany) It's early so they may jump ship as well. The team is bascially a hodge podge of foreign players which, I imagine, makes builing a team culture and creating close relationships more difficult. Word from Greely is that No Colo has culture problems.

This is the only place i have seen the men's "portal" If you know of a better source, i'd love to know of it. Anyhow, to me i just see one thing of interest as of now, Idaho State has 6 players entered.. So somethings happening there.

Idaho State Men's team has 7 players in the portal. I haven't seen anything indicating that they made a coaching change. Did I miss something?

Ben Krystkowiak is in the portal. Wonder if he'll get any interest from Montana or Utah? I'm not familiar with his ability, just more curious if he'd follow in his father's legacy

What about the men who will stay and who will go? They gotta reload with a few guys who were not contributors I would think.

Just saw that Macey Huard from UM entered. Strange timing as they're playing in the NIT

Not a starter but a valuable spoke in the wheel, correct?

Malea Egan in the portal. Not sure I understand what some of these youngsters are thinking.

Thinking of Sacramento State and Northern Colorado with seven players each leaving — it seems to be a cautionary tale about grabbing a disparate group of players and trying to create a team. How many are trying to transfer for a second time?
If I am counting right, it looks like Weber is losing seven also.

The ISU coach just signed a new 5 year deal. I think the parting of the ways was perceived lack of talent of the players.

I think this is an example of the transfer portal working. After one year, something must not be the right fit. Could be MSU, could be Bozeman, could be the team and/or coaches. Who knows.

She doesn't have the star power or credentials as a little used Freshman to be looking for the bigger, better deal. I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the Frontier conf where she might thrive. Good luck Malea.

Admit it, you just hate the blood sucking money grab that now defines college athletics. The scholarship era will be wrapping up shortly with teams being hired guns.

This. As a freshman she played more minutes than she could've hoped for. She didn't play enough to be super recruited by a bunch of teams. Maybe it's a bad relationship and needing to get away for all we know.

I was talking to someone the other day and they were saying they thought there should be a 3 year commitment. I said I could see a 3 year with the caviot that you could transfer after year 1. After one year you have a pretty good idea of if you like the place and get along with the staff or not. Eagan is in that 1st year.

Trish had ample opportunity to assess Malea as she played significant minutes. It is possible that Trish's assessment led to Malea's decision.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Who's their coach, Attila the Hun? That is an evacuation.

While browsing the current transfer portal list, I noticed a 6'11" center from NMSU in the portal by the name of Yaak Yaak. If ever there was a player who seems destined for the state of Montana he is it. No news on if there's anyone named Libby Libby in the women's portal.
