I'm loving this matchup coming(MSU vs EWU). You guys will beat SS and it doesn't matter how we do against Cal Poly. This matchup will be a blast to watch. By the way; 1) How will the roads be coming from Spokane? 2) Any suggestions on the best place to stay and great places to eat? 3) Should we wear protective vests?

1) Who knows right now how the weather will be?? Could be nice or could be 2 feet of snow! Check in next week. 2) Plenty of nice places to stay and eat-I'll let others from Bozeman give you some suggestions on that. 3) No need for a protective vest! As long as you are not a grizzly, we'll treat you ok. Past games thru the years with EWU have always been close and these two teams always play hard-I expect a real barnburner this year.

Not unless you spend the night in Missoula

And I agree, this is shaping up to not only be a very important game for playoff positioning but should really be just a great game. Two evenly matched teams with a lot of talent.

As far as places to eat here are my suggestions.....For a fun brewery atmosphere with great food check out Montana Ale Works. For great TexMex and amazing Margaritas check out Santa Fe Red's. There are a lot of places but those two are my picks. Whatever you choose plan on waiting a while. On the weekends there tends to be a wait of 15-45 minutes depending on how many people are with you.

My favorite place to stay is the Grantree (has a bar you can go drink/eat after games etc.). Its a little more pricier than some other places. The Best Value Inn has really nice rooms as well at a good price. I usually stay at those 2 places. Not sure on the roads yet as its changing every day it seems like. All you need to bring is your beer helmets and you can have a seat at our tailgate and we'll drink/talk some smack :)

Best motel in Bozo is the Wingate, bar none. Doubt they have any vacancies this close to the game, however, especially considering there are 2 volleyball matches that weekend as well.

Lots of good grub in Bozeman but you MUST have a cheese steak from the Pickle Barrel at some point during your stay. They will deliver anywhere in town but there's also one inside the Rockin' R Bar on Main St. If you're not familiar with PB, trust me, it is the best sandwich you'll ever eat! Only order a half, however, unless you can eat an entire large pizza by yourself, because that's about the equivalent to any whole Pickle Barrel sandwich!

For a very good breakfast, try Main Street Overeasy.

Grantree motel is by far the nicest place in town with a nice bar and restaurant unlike the Wingate that does not have a bar or restaurant

I agree that the best atmosphere in town is definately Santa Fe Red's to eat. Grantree has a fun gameday feel to it for a hotel. If you are looking at drinking your dinner, may I suggest stopping by the Rocking R Bar (Downtown) Friday night and Spectators (by campus) before you go to tailgate. If you are having a great time and want to stay Saturday night I suggest going to the Cannery for a good time. With all of this in mind, probably not a good idea to wear your Eagles gear, even though it is thought of a lot higher than jizz wear. Have a great time- Bozeman is truely awesome- GO CATS!

Breakfast - Cateye Cafe, O'Brien's, Bagel Works

Lunch - Naked Noodle, Cafe Zydeco, Bar 3 BBQ, McKenzie River Pizza, Starky's Deli, Savory Olive, John Bozeman's Bistro

Dinner - Bistro, Savory Olive, Ferraro's, Ale Works, Boodles, . . .

Bozeman's a great restaurant town and most of the good stuff is downtown.

If you're on a budget, the Royal 7 motel is well maintained and roomy and within walking distance of everything downtown.

Last time I stopped in Bozeman I ate at the Naked Noodle for the first time. Good place and I would recommend it. My favorite will always be the pickle barrel up by the campus.

Is anyone going to start a Sac State prediction thread? Being a Griz fan, I don' want to do it, but I need to redeem myself from the NAU game. :)

A few years ago I was over there and somebody took me to a place in Manhatten. I had a killer Porterhouse! Somebody here must know the name. For you EWU fans it's on the way to/from Bozeman. To me it was classic Montana!

Probably referring to The Oasis.

Its also Ag Appreciation Weekend at MSU which means that Ag-Days hosted by the college of Ag will be occuring. Consequently, I'm bringing 19 FFA students/new young fans to the game as our events will be over just before the game starts. In other words, if you haven't made reservations for any hotel yet, I would today.

I don't know. That's a tough title. I used to think Lindey's in Seeley Lake was the best but my new fav is the Babb Steakhouse. Seriously. Perfectly marbled rib-eye cooked to perfection with some special family secret recipe seasoning. It is truly incredible. Try both places if you haven't. I'll definitely have to try the Chop House.
