Eddie turner?
Is he done, or does he have one more year?
I thought he just had the 1 year (this year) of eligibility, but I keep seeing articles and posts “thanks to Ford and Olmsted on your msu career”…. Not seeing much mention of turner, does he have another year of eligibility? (That would be awesome if so)

Re: Eddie turner?
For every one portal transfer that ends up like Utah State, there’s probably a dozen that would end up like West Virginia. I think if he left he’d eventually regret it. Hopefully, he doesn’t go for the long shot.

Re: Eddie turner?
He definitely has one more year of eligibility, and only Ford and Olmsted participated in Senior Day. Whether he chooses to use that year at MSU, we will have to wait and see...mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 2:39 pmIs he done, or does he have one more year?

Re: Eddie turner?
It takes longer than just 1 day to enter the portal. Eddie has been “gone” for at least a week.

Opens up a spot for some big time recruits. No matter who the coach is, this team is going to land some talent.

Re: Eddie turner?
From what I heard turner is gone regardless, even with Logie staying….
Bit of a head scratcher to me….. but whatever. I would say best of luck, but honestly I don’t feel that way.

Re: Eddie turner?
It is possible that someone closer to Seattle has shown interest.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Re: Eddie turner?
He performed really well a few games come tournament time? But the body of the season wasn't a spectacular output was it? Too each their own but I would guess he doesn't go to a program equal or above ours.

Re: Eddie turner?
Yeah towards the end he was doing a lot better, but he seemed to have a really inconsistent shot, and playing style. Maybe part of that was sharing the lead guard role, I’m not sure. Regardless, I think he’s pretty replaceable. It’s not like losing Brown, Osobor, & Battle.

Re: Eddie turner?
Eddie is a very good student with an impressive academic record. I would not be surprised if he is leaving more for a specialized grad program than basketball, but I am just guessing.

I was just going to post this. Probably more of a move for his future after basketball.

Re: Eddie turner?
I am pretty bummed by this one, I thought Turner showed some flashes especially late in the season and definitely had a lot of room for improvement over the off-season. Somewhat similar situation to Robert Ford, who was stuck behind Darius Brown his first year but became one of MSU's all-time greats in year two. We'll see who Logie brings in to replace him though, every portal departure is a chance to bring in someone else as good or better than the player who left.

Re: Eddie turner?
If this is the case then I hope he shoots for the moon academically. I look forward to your success.
