Cat-Griz dual track meet

Post by TomCat88 » Fri Apr 05, 2024 2:17 pm

MSU has broken three school records so far. Not sure what the scores are. Should be over in about an hour.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I've been following it. I love the womens 1500 result. The Cats took the top NINE spots. The men took the top EIGHT spots in the 5000. Sheesh!

You can see the results here.

Holy cow…just looking at the winners in all events the meet should have been stopped due to the “mercy rule”.

Just kidding…but boy impressive outing by Bobcat Track Teams.

The track program has always been great. Now add the indoor facility and look out. If McMillan and Boyd decide to run track while also playing football; holy crap!

It was a pleasure officiating the discus and hammer events. I'm impressed with the way the athletes from both teams conducted themselves. They had a blast. The sport is moving in the right direction at both universities.
