Man, some online store has already stolen the designs and knocking them off onto their own products.

I don't know how this works, but I think it's all bots. If you follow high school sports in MT, you might see a post on social media from a tiny school, and there will be a bot post saying they have apparel for sale. I do know they aren't paying any licensing royalties, or even asking if licensing is required for the use of the logo. I don't know for a fact that this is what's happening here, but I'd bet money it is. I don't know how these accounts don't get completely shut down. That design might not be trademarked, but MSU's logo is...maybe they just know exactly what they can get away with.

I think we can safely assume that these companies are not American and care little for our IP laws. We can probably narrow down the country of origin to one that rhymes with a female body part, and not Delores for the Seinfeld fans out there.

SHOULD BE, based on your opinion...and mine. But if they stick with the vote like they said they were doing, the horse shirt has a pretty big lead on Facebook and Instagram. The stadium one has the lead on twitter but far lower engagement there.

It's a really unfortunate design this year - all black graphics and black fonts on a black shirt. The shirt doesn't really pop, but on a positive note, the black shirt will be hotter than hell to wear on a very warm gameday.

Maybe if we all wear black for the 100 degree Gold Rush kickoff the suns rays will be drawn into the stadium and make it feel even hotter on the field for the opponent!

Well it sure looks black to me and even my 3yr old grandson said it was black so he and I are expecting to see black goldrush t shirts this year. There can't be any other explanation A real positive about the shirts being black is that we won't have to weed through the page or two of posts saying the shirts are yellow instead of gold.

I stopped buying the Gold Rush shirts a few years ago, since I rarely wear them aside from that one game I was just ending up with an increasingly large pile of almost new t-shirts. It's quite fun going through my old ones every year and deciding which one to wear to the game. As you said, I doubt the shirts are a huge moneymaker on their own but they do bring in a lot of customers who might spend more money on other things while they're there for the Gold Rush shirt.

Yeah, a thousand people probably did. Lots of comments on today's first reveal though asking why the shirt is the same as last year. I suppose it could be said if you didn't vote you can't complain.
