10,000 is happening now and Ben Perrin is in the group of leaders. Bouncing between 4th and 6th now. Top 12 finishers in this event tonight go to nationals in Eugene. Almost to the halfway point of the race.

That throw put him in 38th place by the time it was all said and done. Pat Vialva threw 218 and finished in 21st place.

So far the only one moving on from today (to the quarterfinals Friday) is Janis Pohl in the 400MH. He's in 10th. They'll run two quarterfinal heats Friday and the top 12 will go to Eugene.

Well, Perrin couldn't hang in with that group. Right now it's saying Richtman finished 14th and Perrin 18th, but that seems backwards to me. Richtman was way back early on. Regardless, neither of them will go to Eugene in this race. Perrin I believe has the 4th best time coming in in the 5,000, so that's his better race. I'll be interested to hear how the humidity affected him, or if it did at all.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 8:23 pm10,000 is happening now and Ben Perrin is in the group of leaders. Today is Day One for the women's competition. Hammer has already happened and MSU didn't have anyone competing. Javelin is about to start, and Clara Fox is in the first flight. Her best throw this year is 154, but there are about 20 women who have gone over 170 this year, so she'll need a big improvement and a little help to move on. But she's just a freshman, so I'm sure the goal for her is to throw well on a big stage and just get some elite competition under her belt.
